Not quite so engaging, the last book. Too much Kate, not enough Annalise. Still, everything wraps up conveniently and everybody except the villains get their HAE. It's a decent summer read.
The plots are well paced with a good mixture of action, mystery, romance and just a touch of voodoo. The Caribbean setting is lush and well described. The main characters are three dimensional although I sometimes got really irritated at the heroine. She seemed to be her own worst enemy--jealous and furious without justification.
It's not deep reading but I recommend it highly for beach or reading by the fire on a cold and lazy day.
The characters were very interesting and colorful. I did not guess the plot or the ending. It gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling at the end. I only wish there were more in this series! Kudos to the author!!!
