first of all it comes in a flimsy cardboard case and the case is shipped in plastic.
needless to say the box was bent and upon opening the bow was broken in 2 and splintered.
there is no wonder it broke, it feels like it is made of balsa wood.
it is not worth the 80.00 it cost. it looks very cheap and if you had it on your wall
people would laugh at you and say "you paid how much for that."
so you can buy it if you want to, but it does not scream HUNGER GAMES PROP.
This is a cheap piece of crap, and i warn you DO NOT BUY THIS...
Let's start with the shipping shall we?
Mine came with a bent box corner. However the bow itself was undamaged. It was just incredibly awfully shipped! And yes the box is ridicules: No internal packing material, over-sized box. NECA could have easily required the manufacturer to ship it in an actual shipping box! The box is intended to be optionally used as a display piece as well! Nowhere in the add-copy is it even suggested as being simply the mailing box!
As another reviewer stated, "it looks very cheap and if you had it on your wall people would laugh at you".
I have several different "Hunger Games" replicas, figures, etc., all made under the NECA Brand. All of those look and display well, as they should. NECA screwed up with this bow big time.
All of these things being considered, I will probably return this "prop replica"!
This is for the die hard fans that have money to burn. I mean burn.
