the original block heater, which is very hard to get to. The heater is cut into the lower radiator hose
about 2" below the water pump. Yes it is a little work, but well worth the time. it is best to start with
a new hose and clamps to do a clean install. Bottom line, the heater has worked well for me so far,
It was recommended to me by a friend who used to live in S. dakota, He said it is a good product,
And i agree with him, I recommend this heater if you need better cold weather starts.
I relocated it to a few inches away from the block over my weekend and it has been a major difference starting my truck. It's -25 right now and my 82 Bronco fired just fine. Prior to installing this it would have a hard time trying to start anytime it was below freezing, and at -25 would have had no chance.
