Tuning a smaller guitar is simple and easy. To get the best quality sound and performance from your ‘mini electric” you must use tuning suited for a 21” scale. Tuning a smaller guitar: To get the best sound from a smaller and shorter scale guitar, it needs to be tuned “up” a fourth note. That means the 1st (thinnest string) E-string goes up to A, and you tune the rest of the strings accordingly (notes becomes A-D-G-C-E-G). Younger players often prefer to strum and not press down very hard on the strings. If you want to just strum, you can change the tuning to a G chord (G-D-G-B-D-G) which enables strumming the strings with the pick to produce a good sound quality and pitch. Replacement strings: When you need to replace the strings (usually after 90 days of frequent use), we suggest using a heavier gauge electric string beginning with 0.11 or 0.12. AC adapter is not included- Purchase a standard 9V AC adapter (negative polarity).
