Very unsafe for your animal

DO NOT buy this paper!! I’ve used this same brand without any problem but THIS one, EXTREME odor control and the blue pieces caused my hamster to have a severe allergic reaction including a staph infection. After staying overnight at the vet 2 nights in a row, she only got worse and we had to put her down today. Miss Brownie was only 1 year old. She was the most amazingly sweet hamster!! It disgusts me what she went through and the pain she felt bc of this paper!

Actually controls odor

My guinea pig is smelly! And because his habitat is in my room, I notice. I've tried other beddings but this stuff actually controls odors and he doesn't kick it out of his cage when he plays! It's soft and decently absorbent. I would definitely recommend this bedding for small pets, and I will definitely be buying more in the future.

Perfect for a Guinea pig kitchen!

So after several months of using fleece liners for the entire cage I ran across an article about the usage of guinea pig kitchens where a portion of the cage is dedicated to housing the water and food for the guinea pigs, which works almost like a litter box where the piggies only urinate in that area. I use this bedding for that area and it changed our lives. It makes cleanup so much easier and the guinea pigs really like it and because they generally only urinate in that specific area, it has really cut down on the need for washing the fleece bedding. There is no scent to this particular product, which we prefer. However I don't believe we could make this product last more than 4 days before having to change out the entire kitchen pan. Maybe you could make it work for longer if you were using this bedding for an entire cage, but I've never tried doing that so I'm not sure what the result would be. Our guinea pig kitchen pan is 28 in by 28 in, and their entire cage is about 28 inches by 70 in, if that helps. We have two big boars and after four days the bedding has to be changed out, as they generally only urinate in that area. That being said I would not use another product as none we have tried work as well as this bedding. If you haven't tried setting up a dedicated guinea pig kitchen area, it worked wonders for us.

I have tried several products for my rabbits litter box. I have searched and searched for the best for the smell, easiest to dispose of, absorbency, and safest for him. This is by far the best! Anyone that has a rabbit knows how horrible their urine smells and how sensitive they are to everything. This doesn't irritate him in any way and I can go away for a long weekend and it is fine. I did test it to see how long it can stay in the litter box before it starts to have a harsh smell in his room, and it is about 3 days. I don't scoop his box out, I totally change the litter every other day. It's really easy, just dumps out, no clumps in the bottom I have to scrape out. It absorbs wonderfully. I recommend this to anyone. I have a male, his father is full Flemish Giant, and he has the size. Litter boxes only go so big with the grate on the top for rabbits, so I go through a serious amount of stuff in even the largest one I can find.

Of all the bedding we’ve tried, this is by far the worst! For perspective, we have just one guinea pig. This product claims to be “extreme” and “14 day” odor control but we had to clean the cage after just 5 days...the smell was horrible. The package also boasts 99.9% dust free. This product produced more dust on the furniture the cage sits on than any other bedding we’ve tried. I would definitely not recommend this product.

I purchased this product with high hopes. I have a single guinea pig and was replacing the bedding once a week because of the smell. When I read extreme odor control I thought this would be great to try. Unfortunately, it was actually less odor controlling than the regular Kaytee product. Now I am replacing all the bedding in 4-5 days because of the smell. I looked at the guarantee, but I have to ship the product back to the manufacturer for the credit and pay for the shipping. After I purchased and tried two bags of the product, still same result. I will be going back to a less expensive and more effective product.

I absolutely love this bedding! I have my pairs of guinea pigs in 2 Midwest cage setups and each enclosure has one cage with fleece bedding, and one with this paper bedding, and all of them love to play & snuggle in the fresh bedding! My 8 week old skinny pig, Mikey, seems to enjoy it the most! I was considering going with just fleece, but my piggies love this stuff too much. It's a staple in our care now. It definitely helps keep the odor to a minimum, as long as you spot clean.

Used other stuff nothing compares. Never smells even after 2 week, not dust which if you didn't know is bad for your rodent and you. When they kick up the stuff from the cage mixed with their urine a feces you and the rodent are inhaling that. My daughter was very ill when she was younger with respiratory problems and very sick with cough and other stuff found out it was from her mouse and hamster cage look it up. Got rid of them her sickness went away. Now she's older she got one and use this stuff and its amazing. You pay for what you get.

Im a little bit concerned about levels of dust in this bedding and hamster safety? I normally use a different brand of hamster bedding for my hamster but due to an foot injury I was not able to go out and buy my normal product so I thought I'd try and order this one. When I initially changed my hamster bedding to this he seemed ok (he really seemed to like it). When it came to cleaning out some of his poo and soiled bedding 2 days later I noticed how much dust came off this bedding, as it was a branded bedding I didn't think too much more about it.
Within an hour my hamster was struggling to breath and looked to be very poorly. I didn't think he was going to make it through the night. After 24 hours he seemed to pick up slightly I decided to completely remove all his bedding and try and drive to a pet shop and buy his usual bedding. This all happened 5 days ago and he seems absolutely fine now (his usual giddy self).
I dont know if it was due to the dusty bedding why my hamster had respiratory issues or due to his age (as he is nearly 2 years old!!!) all I know is he was ok before I used this bedding and he is ok now after I removed the bedding from his cage. Its put me off buying this product again as hes never had a problem with his bedding before. I'm not saying dont buy this product as it might be ok for some hamsters but I am saying please be aware it might not suit all hamsters (especially if you try introducing it in their later years).

This is probably the best bedding I've tried for my gerbils, it's easy to put in enough to give them a decent amount to tunnel through whilst still having loads left. Cleaned them out twice so far, pretty sure this will do double the amount their previous bedding will. It also holds its shape for them really well, allowing them to create tunnels and nests. They love it. I love it. Recommend to anyone with little furry friends.

One of my favourite bedding for my gerbil. It seems to hold the tunnels nicely and it’s soft for her little face as well. It’s not the BEST for odour control but it’s not the worst either. Probably killed my hamster

My healthy 5 month old Syrian died around a week after switching to this bedding, of course I can't be sure that this was the cause but this was the only change in her environment. The bedding is very dusty, once I noticed that I started changing it even more to keep the dust level down.

Lovely and soft for Gerbils

Decided to change my gerbils bedding from sawdust which was OK but they kicked it out the cage all the time.
I was a bit worried changing their bedding but I needn't have worried. They went straight in to investigate and snuggled in. They were busy for some time tearing it up for their bed, burrowing and making snuggly nests.
The smell is mild to neutral so is fine. I smelled no bad odours from the cage at all.
It does last 2-3 weeks before needing to be changed so is more economical.
Overall very pleased with the product and would definitely recommend it.
Will be buying it again
