Ceramic, so bacteria doesn't collect the way plastic does
Heavy so our bunny (who likes to smash things) can't tip it over
Best deal you'll find. Anything cheaper than this and you'll be getting plastic or aluminum bowls that collect bacteria and are easier to tip over.
For me, none. Some people have complained that the bowl is ugly. It's not Picasso, it's a water bowl. If you care that much, spend more money. I'd rather spend the extra money on toys and treats.
Although my guinea pig is able to overturn it when he cares to.
It's sturdy when he isn't messing with it and there are no chips.
I think the price could be reduced. I also use safe porcelain and stoneware bowls that I've purchased for so much less, but it will withstand some wear and tear. I would not purchase another, however as I've found cost effective, equally sturdy alternatives.
Our bunny is caged with a big fat guinea pig who keeps pulling it over, but the bunny (lionhead: dwarf(ish) breed) doesn't have the same problem. We received the purple one. That seems pretty common, based on the reviews.
