The new crochet Kearny crossbody features The Sak's signature tight weave and is perfect for keeping your essentials at hand while keeping your hands free. It features a zipper closure, two interior multi-function pockets and a zippered back wall pocket.
Mark Talucci and Todd Elliott, founded THE SAK in 1989 with a singular handbag, created from a unique fabrication. The immediate success of this bag revealed a great demand in the marketplace for accessories crafted from unique textiles. Encouraged, they began developing distinctive, richly textured weaves, and, in 1994, launched THE SAK's signature fabrication, Tightweave. This exclusive textile, designed into modern handbag shapes, garnered a tremendous following, and propelled the THE SAK to become the fourth largest handbag company in the United States.

What I didn't notice in one of the pictures because of the black dress that the model is wearing is that there are four knots on the strap, so when I tied it at the top to prevent it from hanging too low (because I'm only 5'4"), the knots felt out of place. When I tried to undo one of the knots, I noticed that I could see where the strap was held together and decided to alter the straps. I pulled the ends apart, untangled all of the knots except for one because I didn't like them, cut the strap to a length that I preferred, and held the ends of the straps about an inch from a flame so that the strap ends melted back together. Because I didn't want to melt the strap too much, I used superglue to hold the ends together better and moved the knot (after loosening it) to hide the area that I melted. It took about 10 minutes to turn a purse that I was merely content with into something that I really love.
*UPDATE: I bought this purse in sand stripe (from another retailer) and did not have to alter the strap this time, so I changed my review from four stars to five stars. The knots look cute when the strap isn't too long and the colors are more vibrant in person than in the pictures. The color that I thought was a light blue (because my vision is bad) is more like a gray, which matches better with my khaki and gray clothing.
I don't know how you would make adjustable straps with this type of material but the design team needs to get creative and figure it out. It would make it a winner for sure.
