So I'm an "advanced" electronics and RC hobbyist and I know for a fact there's some crusty-ness on the inside of this unit without even opening it. The backlight on the screen has a loose connection inside somewhere. When it works it's bright and easily visible but when it's not working correctly I can push on the plastic housing around the corner of the screen and the plastic flexing will make the screen brighten up. See pictures for PROOF! This does NOT inspire confidence in the longevity or safety of the unit! I do NOT use this to charge unattended...which is a hassle because the last thing I need in my life is to babysit Lipos for hours while they charge. Given the price I wouldn't buy again and I'd maybe spend an extra twenty on a better unit. It did however have a "warranty" ...of which I have not had the time nor patients to delve into yet. I shouldn't have to! Especially right or of the box! ....I haven't done it yet because this is my only charger at the moment and if I have to ship it out then I have NOTHING to charge with until whenever the company decides to get it back to me. I ordered this for faster charging of 2-4S Lipo batteries and it works well except the screen...but who knows for how long given the above issue. Has nice options and memory presets are handy for different cell sizes and charge rates. Pretty compact at 5.25" x 3.75" (smaller than my hand). Fan is moderately noisy but not bad compared to some others. Also it would be nice if the manual advised what thermistor/thermometer to use or at least what the pin-out designations are so I could buy the one one I need and not have to "gamble" shop for it and hope what I ordered is compatible.
