As someone who has been an organizer for 10 years, I sometimes think I already know a lot about the issues, especially issue that impact women. What amazed me about this book is how much it taught ME, even in just the first few pages! Keep marching says it's a guide for women but I encourage men to read it as well because it is so informative about all of the issues that impact all of our families and communities each and every day. From the gender wage gap, to maternal mortality, to civic engagement, Keep Marching is a one stop shop for your activism needs, whether getting activated and involved is new for you or you are a seasoned do-gooder. I've met many people who've come to me post-election looking for a way to connect to the issues they care about to make a difference, I would direct each and every person to buy this book! It's easy to read, gives some great (and often shocking) facts, and outlines not only the problems out there but the solutions we can organize and engage around to make a difference. I am so excited this book is out, it's needed now more than ever, and I hope that we all use it to keep marching forward toward progress and justice!

I usually like to keep my books pristine, I don't write in the margins or mark the pages at all. But in the intro, the author asks that you do just that! And as I read through the book - without even thinking about it - I found myself underlining stories from the author or women from her organization (MomsRising) so I could share them with my mother. I highlighted passages of anecdotes and stats to share with my friends and family members who disagree with me on certain issues. And I dog-eared pages that gave me practical advice on how to improve my own activism and advocacy.
Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner's voice is insightful, respectful, funny, and deeply personal. She unpacks the important political battles of our times and connects them with an intersectional lens, all while tying it back to how to make a change. I would highly recommend to anyone, not just women!

I enjoyed “Keep Marching” and, more importantly, was inspired by it. Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner blends the personal and political in ways that have immense and lasting power. She is skillful in her use of statistics and has her finger on the pulse of what many women are feeling and experiencing.

This book explains what’s at stake for women in the current political environment, warns about the dangers posed by ignoring the threats we face, and identifies ways to maximize our impact and power. It is a roadmap for reclaiming our country from those who want to take us backward and for winning the kinds of reforms that will bring lasting change.

The book is compelling – a fast and powerful read that stays with you. I am passing my copy on and buying copies for friends!

Finally, an accessible and highly useful guide for women (and men!) who want to make their voices heard on the issues impacting their lives every day! Kristin's writing is warm, relatable, and filled with both the stories and the stats that make you care about the issues she describes and actually feel empowered to do something about them. Whether you've been an activist for years or have just recently gotten fire up enough to want to do something, this book has something to offer you. My pre-ordered copy arrived yesterday, and I've already read it cover to cover. But it's the kind of piece I know I'll be returning to as guide in the years to come. Thanks, Kristin, for putting into words what so many of us are feeling.

Rowe-Finkbeiner describes issues that continue to plague women, such as the wage gap, health care, incarceration, harassment, and violence. The statistics she provides are sobering.

Rowe-Finkbeiner includes policy recommendations for each issue in her book. here is one of her policy recommendations for eliminating the wage gap:

"Promote bans on salary history requirements. The administration and Congress should also work to ensure that employees are barred from requiring job candidates to disclose previous salary histories, which contributes to the wage gap over times."

Finally, Rowe-Finkbeiner provides an appendix with lists of organizations that support the issues described in each chapter.

When you get clear about what you want to change for women, Keep Marching is an excellent resource.

Very eye opening for the more privileged women amongst us, including myself. Although a lot of the women’s issues discussed in the book haven’t affected me personally, I realize there’s still so much to be done in the fight for equality and justice. This book serves as a blueprint for making positive changes to help improve conditions for women and society as a whole. I appreciate how the author keeps talking about intersectionality issues throughout the book. As an environmental activist, I found many of the suggestions for action to be directed applicable to environmental activism.
I’ve even bought a few copies of the book to give to friends and family!

A must-read for anyone involved in the current struggle to keep this country a democracy, governed by the rule of law. Women are more than 1/2 the population and could be a force with which to be reckoned--a force for justice, for speaking truth to our elected "representatives" (most of them think they only represent the guys with suitcases full of $$) and working for women's right to fair pay, safe working environments, etc. We can't give up now, and this book should help the reader keep her chin and up and down at the State Capitol, demanding a better world.
