This is an engaging story about our misconceptions about social position, medicine, and love, and the choices we must make. There's a colorful cast of characters, from the elite to the scruffy. Caitlin is an unusual young woman, quiet and humble, yet strong and determined when she encounters the world of modern medicine and the privileged class. Her simple life becomes complicated after she meets wealthy, successful surgeon Dr. Seacrest, who lives in the fast lane but must slow down to confront his past. I enjoyed this straightforward book about contemporary and age-old problems.

Okay, I really loved this book. I will tell you why. It was different, unique and just when you think that you have figured it out, there is another twist. I love to twist and turn as I read. Do you? If you do, then this is a keeper.

Very disappointed in this tantalizing, but poorly developed story line with little character development, especially in regard to life changing trauma. Trite happy ending with unrealistic portrayal of swift healing of the psyche.

I enjoyed this book from start to finish for several reasons. First, the writing style was refreshing and the storyline was easy to follow. The characters reminded me of people I've known in my life, with their unique and amusing quirks. I especially liked reading about Caitlin's organic gardening lifestyle and her friends, very believable! I think the author approached the subject of the book with sensitivity and care. I recommend this book to anyone interested in the psychological healing process and who just enjoys a good read. It has the added bonus of being appropriate for young folks.

I bought this based on reading a sample and though the first couple of chapters had me intrigued, in the end, it felt more like an outline than a book. Would have liked to have seen the charecters and situations fleshed out more. Author has potential.

The plot is very fast paced. But, the characterizations take their time. The heroine is not a victim. The hero has a backstory. And the clash of classes is well played. Clean, good romance.

This story drives homes the point that life's problems affect all people. No one is immune from problems, rich, poor, healthy, sick, living in a mansion, or a teepee in the woods, all come with their own, unique set of problems. That is the nature of life, it is how we deal with these problems that define our character. It's a sweet book about people from the opposite side of the tracks, trying to find enough common ground to nurture a fulfilling and enduring relationship.

Finally comes a book that is immensely satisfying, completely different, intellectually stimulating and a love story that makes the reader believe real love may actually exist. I don't often read "romance" books because they are filled with graphic sex, superficial "lust" and nothing but "hormones" gone crazy. Be prepared to read a totally different book AND besides no graphic sex, there is a TOTAL lack of "gratuitous" filthy language. It doesn't have to rely on sex and filth, because the story completely holds it's own without the garbage. Such a tiny percentage of books now written can be outstanding books WITHOUT thinking they have to have filth, violence, horror, etc. ad nauseam. So refreshing!!! I hope authors out there will take note and try relying on TALENT instead of FILTH. I hope this book takes the world by storm and gets true recognition for its excellent writing, it's unpredictable story line and the TALENT with which it's written.
