Well they do what they say. One side of the box opens up with a little cutout on top so you can quickly slide your finger against it to pull out just one. They worked great to separate the burger patties I made with my new press. These would also work well to separate cheese if you slice it yourself. There's like 1000 per box, and I used 12 to make 10 1/2-lb patties (one on top of each stack), so it's going to be a long time before I need more.

The sheets are a simple parchment paper, not waxed paper. I use two sheets per burger: One on top and one on the bottom. I press my burgers with the papers already on them. It shortens the process and helps with the release of the burger from the press. I then freeze the burgers on a sheet pan, with layers separated with plastic wrap. If you stack and bag the burgers, without freezing them first, they will all stick together.

These patty papers were not what I was expecting. They are what they advertise to be though, squares of paper to use to separate hamburger patties.

I bought these thinking that Wax Impregnated Paper would be similar to Wax Paper, I was incorrect. These squares of "wax impregnated paper" are more similar to parchment paper than to wax paper.

As I wasn't buying these to use for their intended purpose, I can't attest to their hamburger separating prowess, But if you are looking for a substitute for candy/confectionery wrappers, you should probably NOT buy these.

Hoping to be able to use these in other ways, I'll be sure to update if i can find another use for them.

Nice, square, semi-transparent paper that takes a crisp fold. Note at 5.5 inches, these are smaller than standard 6-inch origami papers. Great for folding practice! Be aware that although one side is slightly smoother than the other, it can be hard to tell whether you're looking at the front or the back; if you need the visual cue provided by the color, this might be a tougher paper to use.

As another reviewer pointed out, this is impregnated paper, more like parchment than true wax paper (If you need the waxy stuff, check out Norpro 3403 Square Wax Papers, 250 Piece, which is also "official" 150mm origami size.). On the other hand, you can write on these with a Sharpie without smudging.

I noticed that this is the same product as Geometry Patty Paper - Box of 1000 Sheets: Single Box. That product is slightly less expensive but has a shipping charge. Since I use Amazon Prime, the patty paper was a better deal for me than the geometry paper.

I figure a thousand sheets is a lot of paper for origami practice, and if you don't mind losing color I think you'll be happy with this. And the burger-freezing thing is an unexpected bonus!

Would have bought these in a smaller box, but didn't see that option anywhere. The size papers worked great with my 4.5" hamburger press: Weston Burger Express Hamburger Press with Patty Ejector. Paper is thin, but used 50+ and none of them ripped. When it came time to put them on the grill, the paper came off the patties nice and easily.

Highly recommended if using a press to keep the patties from sticking to the press.

I don't use these for patties. I use these, generally in conjunction with my cast iron tortilla press, to flatten everything from pasta rounds and balls of dough to be baked into crackers, to cornmeal mix for arepas and mini tortillas and slices of white bread for grilled appetizers and other sundry applications.

Pastry dough for mini quiches -- which I HATE handrolling with a pin -- is a snap this way.

The sheets are really rather heavy duty, EXTREMELY heavily waxed so NOTHING will stick even if you use them for a rolling or pressing over and over (no need to take two fresh pieces for every dough ball I press).

The wax is food grade. I have used them folded for muffin cups as well but the wax runoff is troubling when it gets hot and melts, but that is MY fault, not the product's.

And you simply CANNOT beat the value. I've tried several brands. these are the best quality at the lowest price I've had, and somebody in their sales department undervalued its pricepoint.

We use these papers both to prepare and store hamburger patties. Makes me feel like a professional cook to slap a papered patty on the grill! - More sanitary, too.
