I've set it up outside and carefully inspected it. Haven't camped in it yet, but I will soon.

Pros:
- Lightweight
- Mesh allows view of sky and airflow
- Quick set-up
- Dual doors
- Dual vestibules
- Aluminum poles with magnetic connects
- Gear loft included
- Spacious for a 2-man tent (I'm 6'2")

Cons:
- Floor is paper thin- you MUST use a footprint or tarp
- Could be a couple inches longer

Overall, I'm happy with it so far. I plan to buy a cheap tarp from Walmart and cut it to size for a footprint. I'll post an update eventually when it gets some real use.

UPDATE: After one full season of use,I'd like to add some additional comments. I slept in this tent a total of about 3 weeks this summer (not all at once). I used in both in the American Southwest, the Great Plains, and in the Midwest. I've been through a few drizzle rains and one severe thunderstorm. On one hand, it has held up extremely well. It is basically in new condition still (minus bent up tent steaks). No leaks in the rain, but some water did pool up in one corner, which I believe was from my cheap footprint catching some rain and then it seeping through the thin floor material. Overall it has done well, but I have a few complaints which I will consider on my next tent.
First, the window-less design means that the inside of the fly almost always is wet in the morning from condensation. This is sort of annoying since nobody wants to pack up a wet tent in the morning, especially when it didn't even rain. You also feel the moisture when you go to get out and have to touch the inside of the fly. It also gets muggy in there on warm nights. More ventilation would be great.

The tent is exactly as advertised. I'm from Australia and it is perfect for our hot climate. The only down sides I can see are 1) you definitely need a tarp/mat under it and 2) it doesn't come with instructions on how to fold it up neatly and tight like it comes. It's so good to have the two doors and we did get a tiny bit of rain but I was dry as happy inside.

Goes up easily. Stands strong against the wind and tight against rain. The rainfly fits pretty snug so ventilation with doors zipped shut is not that good- but the other side of that coin is het retention is excellent. I use it for motorcycle camping where size is a consideration but not as important as for backpacking. I think this would be too large/heavy for solo backcountry trips. But if you can divide the load among 2 people it would be great!.

Great tent, took it to Copper Harbor Michigan, Rockies national park, Moab, and lots of other places as well. Its only 5 months old at this point, but the poles are very nice and so is the stitching on the tent. It fits me and my boyfriend perfectly and we stay very cozy too. Takes the two of us 5 minutes to set it up, now that we have done it over 10 times. Its stormed on us hard twice so far, no leaks or moisture inside at all. So far its been awesome, and would recommend if your looking for a great starter tent, or if you want to upgrade to a nicer tent.

The tent is a 2-person tent that I use while out performing volunteer trail maintenance for the US Forest Service. We had one night with approximately 0.33 inches of rain. The fly and tent kept my sleeping bag and possessions dry. I love the loft and two doors although I just used one door since I was the only person using the tent. It is tall enough that I can get dressed and undressed easily. It seems to be designed and constructed very well. I am hoping the tent will be serviceable for me for many years.

I have ordered two of these. It's great - sturdy, and easy to set up. It's relatively light; suitable for backpacking. It breathes well and allows a great view of the sky without the fly. I love it.

This tent rocks. Small, lightweight, and durable. Love the mesh, great for clear nights to sleep under the stars without the bugs; and for the nights with harsher weather, the fly works great!

I have used this tent about 10 times now and overall it is ok but not great. My main reason for purchasing this tent was that my $25 Ozark Trail tent accumulated too much condensation during the night and the airflow vents on the top of this tent were supposed to prevent that. Unfortunately during all nights except the one I spent in Death Valley this tent accumulated a ridiculous amount of condensation under the rainfly. So much condensation is accumulated that it is impossible to even exit the tent without getting drenched either from brushing up against it or from the puddles of it dripping to the ground. I camped with my brother last week with me using the Kelty and him using the Ozark Trail and the Ozark Trail had no condensation accumulated in the morning while the Kelty was completely soaked so it is in fact worse than a $25 tent.

The tent is very easy and quick to pitch although I had to replace the included stakes which bent during the first use. The advertising for this tent talks about it being color coded but I have no idea what portion supposedly is since all the poles are orange and no color coding is present. The floor of the tent is so thin it is see through and purchasing the available footprint is a requirement in my opinion, the footprint is color coded to the tent at least. There is more headroom in this tent than many other models which helps when getting dressed in the morning. If you are car camping and don’t need something light my recommendation is get something cheaper because there is nothing about this Kelty that is special and it is too heavy for backpacking.
