About Ken Dye
I grew up in the hills of Missouri. After graduating from college, I was drafted and served my country. When I returned to St. Louis, I became a proud member of the St. Louis County Police Department, serving in the tactical operations unit, as an undercover narcotics and homicide detective, and in the intelligence bureaus. While working in an undercover capacity, I was able to infiltrate a group planning a violent bank robbery. The plot was successfully thwarted, and I was awarded the Missouri Police Officer of the year award. After 13 years, I left the St. Louis area and moved to Chicago, working with the Illinois Criminal Justice Authority. Now retired in Florida, I serve my local community and write for enjoyment and to draw attention to notable issues.

Blog postAvailable at amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. You may recall “Cops Perspective” post dated 12/7/20 where the Mobile, AL Sheriff placed a Christmas tree in the lobby. The tree was adorned with mug shots of locked up and wanted felons.
As one might expect the “Faux, Ever Offended’ crowd made a bunch of racket about the Thugs. They demanded that the tree be removed and how those Thugs may have been wrongly accused. How they may have “transgressed” on their way to becoming good citizen1 month ago Read more -

$4.99
What Price Valor… First it’s the thrill of the hunt. The take-down of a violent criminal. Then the accolades and awards. The Medal Of Valor, all five of them earned. The high fives the man-hugs, the drinking and telling the stories over and over. Then what? Then that creeping, insidious monster PTSD works its way into your psyche and sets up shop in your head…and more importantly, in your soul. What happens to fine men and women who, through the circumstances they are thrown into, become instant hero's. Some weather the storm. Some learn to swim in the situation. Others spiral into a dark place where recovery is most difficult, if not impossible.

$4.99
Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson just cleared a sick child call and was on his way to meet his future wife for lunch. Michael Brown, Jr. and Dorian Johnson, were walking down the middle of the street after ripping off Cigarillos from a local store. The next 50 seconds sent the country into upheaval. This peels back the layers of speculation and opinion and gets to the facts. What and why certain events look place, and the politicians who must be held accountable for the civil unrest throughout the nation.
This book blends reports from eye witnesses, the Grand Jury, forensics experts, mass media and law enforcement into a one comprehensive analysis of the incident. Readers not willing to comb through hundreds of pages of transcripts will learn the reality behind key facts such as how the initial gunshot ensued and why Michael Brown's body lied in the street for hours. The author interjects some behind-the-scene stories into this narrative which have not been covered in any other book written on this subject.
