I bought this for my 11 year old granddaughter as well as for myself (60 years old) my granddaughter and I play it together, swapping back and forth. It is well put together and the graphics are truly breathtaking. We enjoy the challenge of figuring out what to do next and how to accomplish quests. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

This is kind of like the PlayStation version of the newer Zelda games. Not as much detail as a Zelda game, but similar. If I hadn't looked it up, I never would have heard about this game which is a shame! I very much enjoyed it. The bosses are very challenging, the skill tree is great, and there is a mix of puzzles and fighting. Would for sure recommend this game!!!

I enjoyed the game but on casual gamer mode, the bosses were ridiculously hard. This is a plus and a minus as you want a bit of a challenge but I’m not really a casual gamer. I play games all the time! It was frustrating to be defeated and then have to sit through the cinematic intro to the boss again and again and again m…and again!! Visually it’s very nice. The story was really good. Recommend.

I bought this game blind without playing it first - thinking the reviews were good and it looks like a fun platformer. However the difficulty keeps it from living up to its potential. This game looks like its for kids but it has dark souls difficulty - especially the boss fights. Those fights require crazy timing on the dodges and it just felt way too punishing for the cutesy graphics. I played through 3/4ths of the game but quit on a boss that just seemed totally unfair. I dont see many people beating the bosses without reading about what to do on the internet. Thats bad. The best thing I can say about Kena are the visuals and look of the world are really nice.
More minor complaints:
-Kenas animation is very stiff feeling. Shes not appealing to look at much animation-wise. Her control feels a bit sluggish especially for jumping.
-Different costumes should be available at the beginning of the game. This game keeps like its 12 different costumes all behind very specific and likely challenging encounters. So, I was wearing the same thing my whole playtime.

The screens and box art might make this look like a fun and relaxing experience, but its not.

An absolutely fun and touching game. Highly recommended. Oh and you get a sticker sheet with the game. If you weren't convinced before, that should surely have pushed you over the edge.

P.S.
It's not for the faint of heart, if you buy it for your 9 year old, you'll have to play the boss battles.
