I purchased these tires to replace a decaying set which had seen much better days. When they arrived, I was pleased to note that Amazon is now shipping in a box which is only slightly larger than the tires, instead of the size of a file cabinet (as was the situation with my previous tire order). It's always good to be a little greener. Now, BOTH tires could still have fit in one box, instead of two separate boxes, but I'm grateful for the improvement.

The tires themselves appear perfectly made. I needed a plastic tire lever the help put them on the rims. The tread surface is essentially smooth, with shallow curving lines which are intended to carry water from the center of the contact patch to the outside edge. The tire is directional, so install them with the "V" design pointing "down" when viewed from the front (no great harm will occur if you install them backwards, but traction on wet pavement may be reduced). After installing them and pumping them up to 75 psi, I went for a 15 mile ride. I enjoyed the way they roll smoothly on pavement, and offer responsive handling. They are not as fast the the very narrow tires used by "roadies", but probably faster by a large margin than any knobby-tired mountain bike on the planet. They are also silent, no howling knobs. So they make a good, all-around compromise tire for casual rides. Public Bicycles of San Francisco uses the Kwest tire on their bicycles.

The tires are also quite handsome, with all black tread and sidewall, with white lettering on both sides stating the makers name "Kenda" and the tire name "Kwest". They look very dramatic on my shiny black hybridized 10 speed Steyer-Puch.

About a year ago, I replaced a set of Specialized Infinity hybrid tires with these due to the fact that one of the Infinities got a bubble after only 3 years. The replacement I decided on was the Kenda Kwest due to good reviews I read and the bang for the buck.

A year and 1,000 miles later, I couldn't be happier with this tire. The rolling resistance is considerably lower than my Infinities were and my cushy front suspension hybrid is now amazingly almost as fast as my road bike!!! Yet these tires are still bulky enough to use on dirt trails.

Please note, this tire is the Kenda Kwest with PRC (not K-shield) protection, and has a max pressure rating of 85 psi. There are no Kenda Kwest 700 hybrid tires with a 100 psi max pressure rating. Kenda actually lists this size as "hi-pressure" on their website but doesn't list an actual psi rating. Regardless, this is a great tire and 85 psi lets you roll well enough!!

Highly recommended.

I purchased this is a tire to put on my Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc 29er for use on my resistance trainer during the winter months.

I was a bit worried that it wouldn't fit the rim, but it fit perfectly. Once filled it is solid and feels good. I would be confident riding it on the road

It makes almost no noise on the resistance trainer.

So for my purposes, I have no complaints about this tire what so ever.

I purchased these tires to replace some very old tires, one which had a sidewall blowout due to its age. I am not a competitive cyclists so I did not need a high-end tire with a fancy price. These tires were good replacements for the 20+ year old tires they replaced and I have had no traction problems with them.

I have an old trek hybrid that barely sees hard pack dirt so I put these tires on in the 32c size. It rolls Sooo much better on pavement then it did with a standard centerline treaded hybrid tire. They are uniformly round and went on easily without tools. Very nice tires that roll fast and make a nice smooth ride. Money very well spent. Oh, A couple hundred miles on NY roads without a fl_t (I don't want to jinx myself). Enjoy the ride.
Update 7/25/16
with 600 miles of suburban NY streets and mixed type park bike paths on these, I have only had one flat. It was in the rear and my fault. I picked up a thorn from taking single track wooded paths. At 215lbs I've only recently lost the centerline mold seam on the rear tire. The front is still quite visible. The only time I felt scared on them was on a loose sand covered street but you find me any tire that works there. Overall I'm very happy with these. They just roll well, the bead seats to the rim great and the tires are true (round). Not often found with tires at this price point. I'm very happy with these and the 32C size, no regrets.

These are awesome for the price! I was looking for a decent pair of tires for my hybrid commuter bike that I ride everyday to work and back 6.5 miles. I have had them on for about 3 months and I have not had a single flat riding in winter conditions. These conditions include lots of rain and road debris. The tread really does a great job in channeling the water out to the sides and away from the rider. It's cool to see. If you've ridden in the rain, you know that most road tires pushes water straight up onto you leaving you soaking wet, these prevent that.

I don't know if these are "fast" tires, but I haven't noticed any significant drop in speed while using these. These are definitely great tires for those who commute, ride in various conditions, and want all around use from their bike. I would buy them again.
