Optical quality is good but not great. Image quality with this extender is about the same as cropping the photo, so for my use I didn't see any benefit to using this and returned it.
I have a XTi/400D and it worked fine with that. I also have a 300D and a 40D that I can test it with and I'll make sure to post an update.
Basically though, XT/350D users should look elsewhere.
