The storyline was an interesting one but I found it was just too rushed with little to no explanation at some parts. Easton's POV filled in a lot of the missing parts but it came too late after an event. There really wasn't any build up to the love story between Easton and Kennedy. I also think the author lost credibility in my mind by writing Easton had an 11" c@#k. I'm all for erotica and hot sex but please make it believable. A professional editing would have helped clean up some of the grammatical errors and maybe helped the story to flow better. It looks like this is a first book for R. Colora and it isn't a bad start. Perhaps some Beta readers could offer some advice as well.

If you are looking for an emotional read then this is the one that will for sure give it to you. I went through so many cry, happy, cry moments with this book I didnt know whether I was coming or going . R. Colora was a new author for me and I am so glad that she was introduced to me. I will make sure to keep an eye out on any more words from this author.

Kennedy is having a hard time coming to terms with loosing her best friends. It's been two years before the trail happens, she is the only survivor of this murder. She was put in a mental hospital to deal with the survivors guilt and PTSD. Dr. Franklin gives her the idea to go to Denver for a fresh start under a new name. She falls in love with the Hope Theatre and decides that she wants to make it into a music conservatory. When she goes to see the man who is selling the Hope Theater he isn't going to sell it. When Easton sees Siobhan at the reality office he falls for her. He can't help but think about her all the time.
Kennedy went to Barton in New York at the age of 17, her parents were very worried about her being in New York alone. She and her friends are known as the September 4. Easton is 29 years old, he is the CEO of Kerrigan Reality, he has a thing for Siobhan ( Kennedy). Dr. Franklin helped Kennedy, Psychatrist. Emilia is Dr. Franklin's sister, helped Kennedy change her look. Whitney was Kennedy's friend and part of the September 4. Pilar was Kennedy's friend and part of the September 4. Emma was Kennedy's friend and part of the September 4. Governor Dewitt is Whitney's father and he will do anything to protect Kennedy.
This is the first book in the series In Denver. R. Colora knows how to draw people into the story. I was hooked from the first page I look forward to reading the next book in this series. It's very well written and the characters were very well developed. I couldn't help but feel connected to the characters in this story.

This story is told in first person and it alternates POVs occasionally, but not in every single chapter. This makes the events feel personal and I had no trouble picturing myself in Kennedy's shoes, or Easton's when I was seeing things from his perspective. I found myself feeling paranoid, determined, panicked, disoriented, happy, and concerned at one point or another throughout this book. Basically if Kennedy was feeling something, I was too.

One thing that R. Colora did exceptionally well in this book is the dialogue. It feels real and natural and almost never seemed forced or fake. This book also seemed rather dialogue heavy, but it worked. The emotions were conveyed just through what was being said most of the time.

Some of the details of this story seemed a bit too fanciful and outlandish to me, but mostly because they just seem to be so out of left field that I couldn't really fit them into the picture in my head. This was almost entirely related to Kennedy's money situation, so it wasn't really a major point of the story as a whole.

Although the story spans several years, it moves at a fairly quick pace, jumping in time to leave out mundane every day life, and the jumps were executed fairly well. It was always made clear how much time had passed since the last scene ended. There isn't much else I can discuss without moving into spoiler territory, so I will just wrap this up now.

Overall I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it kept me engaged and the dialogue was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this book to romance readers that like strong female leads.

I provided post publication assistance with the spelling and grammar in this novel.

This made me cry, then be happy, then cry some more, but at the end I am very happy I read this, and we get a happy ever after.
I loved the heroine, she is smart, talented, a great friend, self-confidant, and kick-a$$. She goes through a lot before we even meet the hero. As I lived through happiness and tragedy with her, I was totally relating to her. She is so believably written.
We don't even meet the hero until well into the book, and he is a good guy. The thing is, he is occasionally totally stupid. I think his character was very believable and usually likable. I guess I agree with what I think the author's idea of men, that sometimes their brain turns off, but they are still great to have around.
The plot has to do with a horrible tragedy that changes the heroine's life altogether. Later, as she is recovering almost to normalcy, there is a dangerous situation with another friend. The heroine lost her great friends at the beginning of the book, but then is able to save the new friend. I think this brought closure to her in a very moving way.
