Editorial Reviews

Review

"Replete with many never before seen photographs, this posthumous memoir draws on previously unpublished oral histories, gallery talks and speeches by JFK’s official photographer. A must-have for the legions of Americans who still fondly recall the Kennedy years as a time of inspiration and hope.” ~Library Journal

When I read the description I thought this might be an interesting book because it chronicles the years of JFK and his family in pictures. And they were made by an interesting photographer.
After I started reading it and glancing over the pictures it was hard to put the book down...And of course I did not want to reach the photos after the horrific event of 11/22...
Some of the photos I had never seen before and are beautifully made. I like the style of photography and I can recommend it to anyone who also wants to add pictures to all the words that have been written about JFK, RFK and their families.

Jacques Lowe was a wonderful photographer who captured many iconic moments in the life of JFK. This fine volume demonstrates many of these fine photographs and memories, a virtual time capsule of a fondly remembered period in American life. Highly recommended.

These are the most beautiful Kennedy photographs ever taken and they are presented here in all their glory. The Jacques Lowe narrative brings Camelot to life and I went away thinking this photographer is the most serendipitous there ever was to be near our beloved President Kennedy like this.
