Review
There have been many reasons for the murder of JFK proposed by numerous researchers, however for myself, they didn't make sense.... Finally, after 50 years, a book was published that I feel gives the real reason President Kennedy was murdered... The conclusion is simple: President Kennedy wanted to reveal to the world the existence of extra-terrestrials, their technology and the fact the government had contact with them. The book by Dr. Michael E. Salla provides documentation that it was this quest by President Kennedy that got him murdered.
George's Spiritual and Paranormal Blog
Michael Salla's books have in common clarity, methodical progression and persuasive argumentation, all intended to convince an uninformed readership of a thesis that is far from easy to accept. His latest work is no exception. In it Salla focuses on one main topic: the alleged connection between the assassination of President John F Kennedy and his documented attempts to gain knowledge about and disclose the extraterrestrial factor responsible for the UFO issue...
Come Carpentier de Gourdon, World Affairs Journal
[C]ongratulations to Dr. Michael Salla in moving our knowledge of JFK and his role in the deeper history of our time further along in such a courageous and coherent manner. There are many indications that the CIA has waned in its influence in the last couple of decades.... Nevertheless, Dr. Salla's book Kennedy's Last Stand: Eisenhower, UFOs, MJ-12 & JFK's Assassination is a must-read in furthering our understanding of these tremendously important themes and events. The human drama set in motion in Dealey Plaza is far from over.

From the Back Cover
Just before beginning his first term on January 20, 1993, President-Elect Clinton made a very strange request to close family friend and lawyer Webster Hubbell: "If I put you over there in justice I want you to find the answer to two questions for me: One, who killed JFK. And two, are there UFOs?"

A large part of the premise of this book seems to me to be conjecture built upon presupposition. For those wanting to believe, they will find the material credible and plausible. For skeptics like myself, it is still a big pill to swallow. That being said, it is a compelling read. I know the central truth of this book remains intact: There exists a "white" world that you and I live in and a "black" world, a state within a state, not answerable to the American people, nor even the President. This other "government" if you will is surely not by the people, of the people, and certainly not for the people.

I liked this book because it tried to answer some of the questions that always bothered me. Why would James Forrestal, the first Secretary of Defense, commit suicide? Why would Eisenhower, a military man, speak out against the military-industrial complex? Why would Kennedy suggest we do joint missions in space with the Russians?Michael Salla tries to investigate majestic- 12 and the CIA. One forgets, as the author reminds us, the Kennedy was trying to restructure the National Security Council to bring all psychological warfare activities under executive control. President Kennedy had enemies that would've wanted him dead for various reasons. I never put releasing UFO proof on the top of the list. The more I read, the higher it goes up a list, probably in the top three. This is a well-crafted book, leaving you only to judge the credibility of the documents the author uses.

This book ALONE, without background research, may be a little hard to "swallow". It's a bit "off the wall" as a "stand alone" review on an amazingly deep, twisting, winding, unbelievable subject.
HOWEVER, it is so accurate in facts, presentation and everything important....IF you have done your "homework"...ie..other reading on the "murder of James Forrestal" Secretary of the Navy, First Secretary of the State Department, and the WAR incurred in the Antartica, by Admiral Richard E. Byrd, under the supervision, knowledge and direction of Secretary of Navy, James Forrestal, and you have done your "homework" on WHY President Eisenhower warned the American citizenry about the "military/industrial complex"....and you understand WHY President Kennedy warned the American people on "Secret Societies, and secret operations" unknown by the American People at that time......
THEN, this book is invaluable and is the "next piece" of an incredible puzzle that few people know anything about, or even have a clue about events that the public believes "could NEVER happen in America." It's a MAJOR "heads up" to events that happened long ago, that have all conjoined to bring us to the events unfolding today!
It ties a lot of things together, from Operation "High Jump" to Operation "Paper Clip" to the Kennedy Assassination, to the "Secret Shadow Government" operating in America today!
Kennedy's Last Stand weaves the story and events together in a way that is undeniable, and hardly believable, but it did all happen, much to America's everlasting sorrow!
IF you are interested in the above topics and want to know more....GET THE BOOK!

This is a well written and documented history. A page turner, it is to put down. The federal government not only covered up its experiences with UFOs, but may have imprisoned or assasinated knowledgable people in order to keep its secrets. President Truman removed James Forrestal as Secretary of Defense and confined him to Bethesda Naval Hospital where he supposedly committed suicide by jumping out a window hours before his brother was to bring him home. Forrestal, Kennedy and Eisenhower had actually seen evidence of UFOs. Forrestal snd Kennedy were committed to transparency and wanted to publicize the information. Eisenhower saw that he was losing control of this information as the Majestic 12, headed by Allen Dulles, took over near exclusive control. MJ-12 would not let him tour Area 51. He threaten to send the U. S. Army to invade, but he never did. His farewell address shares his concerns about an overgrown Military Industrial Complex. Kennedy gathered more CIA enemies as he permitted the 'Bay of Pigs' fiasco and threatened to shatter the CIA into a million pieces. Allen Dulles convinced the M-12 that they had the authority to assasinate him. Dealy Plaza in Dallas was as busy as Picadilly Circus with assasins. Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate.

Given the author 's background, the documented evidence (meticulous), numerous interviews and corraboration, this is an excellent recount of one of the most plausible theories for JFK 's assassination. We may not have believed such an intricate story 40 years ago when most Americans seemed to trust their government but, today, this certainly makes more sense than a crazed -communist, lone gunman, pro -Castro "loony tune "! I have read many other JFK assassination books, articles, Marilyn Monroe bios and murder theories, Dorothy Killgallan, Forrester 's phony suicide, LBJ 's shady history and influence...and this book seriously and methodically pulled it all together...Eisenhower 's farewell speech and warning to the nation, Kennedy 's attempt to adjust NASA 's mission to work with the USSR in putting men on the moon, JFK 's priority to restructure the CIA and gain access to their "black ops " files....all plausible. At times some information was repetitious and distracted from the flow of the chaptes but, I suppose that was the author 's method for building his case slowly. Overall, I could not put this book down...the recount of events, the timelines, the pieces and players ALL connected.

Kennedy knew too much, his brother too. They, along with Martin Luther King paid the ultimate price for their attempts to create a fairer society. They will never be forgotten. The society they tried to create will come about once the truth is known. Namaste.

Kennedy-UFO connection?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 4, 2013Verified Purchase
I started to read this book with an open-mind; however, the more I read the book, the more I became a little sceptical about the conclusions. The evidence provided is without doubt compelling, but the connections are so transparent that "coincidental" or "circumstantial" evidence becomes twisted. Nonetheless, there is no smoke without fire, and I suggest anyone to read the book, and decide for themselves whether the JFK assassination had anything to do with UFO technology!

A good read
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 21, 2015Verified Purchase
This was a stimulating book that made a very plausible argument not only for alien existence but the fact of its existence being an important factor in the Kennedy assassination. The only flaw, and it is not the author's fault, is that the evidence and the corroborating evidence is so thin at times that a lot of assumptions, albeit plausible, have to be made.

Disappointing

I think the problem is the references... whenever I turn to the references page for a really juicy nugget of information, it always seems to reference a website that I know from experience is full of tinfoil. There are better books on Mr. Kennedy, and there are better books on 'unexplained' phenomena.
