I'm usually not one to write Amazon reviews, but I have to sing the praises of this backpack. I've been using it for three years and it's still in fantastic condition. I got it my senior year of undergrad and have been using it through grad school, too. It holds my laptop, notebook, and other necessities perfectly. When needed, I can usually fit a few textbooks in here, too, depending on their size. There are pouches and slots on the insides too that are great for discretion or just to keep some stuff organized. The only real complaint is that I wish the side pockets were big enough to hold my 32 oz. HydroFlask, but I knew it was an unusually big water bottle when I bought it; these pockets do, however, make great carriers for my phone, headphones, chapstick, pens and pencils, keys (I like to live dangerously), or other smaller items you may want quick access to if your water/beverage of choice doesn't fit. The only reason I'm buying another one is because I had a gum-related mess on the inside that I can't seem to clean out - otherwise the backpack is still pretty much in fantastic condition.

It's cute as heck and is just so sturdy and practical. You will not regret buying.

This may be meant for girls, but as a mom in her mid 30's, I love this backpack. I got it to carry my laptop for work (because I love owls) but ended up using it to replace both my purse and diaper bag. Now I can carry everything I need for myself and my child and I can still fit my laptop. The print is adorable and I get a lot of compliments. I can fit my laptop and a book or tablet/iPad in the back pocket and there is plenty of room in the front for diapers and wipes plus my make up bag, wallet, and anything else I need to carry. This bag has a ton of pockets which is great for organizing your stuff. The bottom is canvas/cardboard and not well padded so I wouldn't use this with any heavier laptop or tablet as it might get damaged when you set the bag down. The canvas itself has gotten a little faded and dirty with time but is sturdy and has held up very well over my last year of use. The bottle holders on the side are unfortunately very small and won't hold most water/sports bottles. Overall for the price this backpack is a good deal and well made.

We were very excited to receive this beautiful backpack for our girl going into 6th grade. It comes in great shape, the print is lovely and it felt pretty sturdy. Unfortunately, kids in middle school get a crap-ton of stuff and there are no lockers at our schools. Her 3" binder with a pencil holder just squeezed in with one reading book and her lunch, and zipping this thing was a problem. Both zippers came off of their tracks multiple times before one size completely waved it's white flag and gave up entirely on our pathetic attempts to revive it.

Ultimately, if you don't need to carry too many things (or heavy things), this bag is probably pretty awesome. It's a beautiful print, it's comfortable, just don't put too much in there or it'll die a slow, dirty, sad death in quick order. We had to replace it already with something stronger and larger (almost as big as my kid :|) to accommodate what's required for these pint-sized kids to haul around. I hate to give it a 2 star rating but the fact that it was completely jacked up within 2 months forces my hand for our personal experience with it.

Get it if you're going to throw some gym clothes and an ipad and some pens/wallet etc in it.

If you need it for school - maybe consider something stronger and well known.
