Nice keychain knife, but a bit bigger than expected.
It was hard for me to find dimensions for the knife. A different reviewer included a picture next to his car key, but it seems his key is larger than average. Total length closed is 3-5/8”. Open length is 4-1/2”. The cutting edge is 1-9/16”. The blade edge is a bit crude. I like the design.
Somewhat unorthodox design but somehow addicting action. The integrated clip/hook setup makes this knife somewhat unnatural to open at first but once you get used to it, it is kinda fun. This knife looks great and is durably made and like many Kershaw knives comes pretty sharp. I love the carbon fiber accent and the bottle opener comes in handy for sure. If they made a different tipped blade might be a cool option. But for this price it seems very quality since I have dropped it several times and it doesn't have a mark on it. If this type of blade appeals to you a highly recommend this knife for its ruggedness but keep in mind it is not a locking blade.
This is my favorite knife. I've bought 2 so far, I gave one away to someone that like it. Its super slim with a lot of utility. It has a great little blade for opening packages and do small cutting tasks. The bottle opener and pry bar work as they should. It has a carabiner so you can put it on your keys if you want.I love this as a fidget toy. It has great detent and is a friction folder (no lock, just know this and dont be stupid...). I open and close it in my pocket all the time to feel the click. I carry this knife everyday, I work in an office so having a small slim knife with bottle opener is great. The carbon fiber looks and feels cool. Its in my pocket and I dont even know it there.
My son got this knife as he wanted to get this style. He chose it because it is multifunctional with it's built in carabiner, bottle opener, slot screwdriver and compact design. He wanted it as he Amazon box opener, something that fit in small spaces in his back pack or could be connected to his belt loop without a secondary connector clip.
He is experienced with knifes but he cut himself twice and it ended up as Dad's new pocket knife. I won't say this knife is "dangerous" but it does not have a guard when fully extended so that is why I would say "expert only" when handling it. I can say that the quality is very good. Sharp looking (no pun intended) when extended with a carbon fiber pattern scale (it is two layers from what I can tell but unconfirmed if actual carbon fiber) on one side. The blade is a solid 8 when it comes to sharpness. I don't know the metal type but the edge has a razor like quality. Can't comment on hardness or edge retention as I haven't really used it yet.
I would recommend NOT to gift this particular version to a young one or even a teenager new to knives as it not having a guard, plus it's tiny size, will lead to cuts. Even for adults! We both haver larger hands so perhaps smaller hands may be more suited for this size. If you really like this blade shape and style I would look to the Smith & Wesson version with Red washer. If this knife had the S&W's guard it would be hard to beat with it many uses.
For actual operation, I would recommend this knife to be used for scoring. Hold the handle between the thumb and middle finger, blade, palm down, with the index finger pressing on the spine of the blade. Not too much as the blade will retract if you don't have the tip touching the material you are about to cut. I think you could do very light carving but I think widdling isn't a good idea. Anything requiring more then light to medium light force/pressure (due to the size), you should have some bandaids+ at the ready.
Overall, personally, I think it's a very functional little modern pocket knife that can bite you if you are new to knives or use to do a job in place of a bigger blade. I can honestly say that this unit is NOT A TOY and it's not a piece of juke either. It's the real deal. Just be carful with it.
Love the Kershaw Pub so much that I've purchased multiple for myself and given some away as a gift. For the price and quality, they are simply amazing! The Sheepsfoot blade makes it perfect for cutting cardboard, opening packages, or general slicing duties. There's a bit of a folding mechanism that lets you attach the knife to your beltloop or use as a bottle opener. This is just a great little tool, highly recommend you add to your collection, cheers!
These are great little knives - especially useful if you work in the restaurant and bar biz! Box cutter type blade plus a screwdriver and bottle opener. I give them as gifts all the time.
The blades does NOT lock and now that I have had a chance to look at it, this is sub my quality of Christmas gifts that I typically give out, but the back side of the blade as you can see it hollowed out so you could put a ring or hang it with a lanyard. But when you go to open the blade, the hollow portion goes into the handle and well, WHY? And I forgot the type of lock this uses, but just remember that it can close on your fingers if you are not careful. All in all, This should have more of a $9.99 price tag...
I have used quite a few keychain pocket knives. Some are multi-tools that are dinky and actually don't do anything, and include a flimsy knife. This knife is slightly bigger than those, but most certainly the most substantial knife that fits on a keychain. I like that the loop is super strong, and not a dinky ring that will break off. I have no doubt it will last for a long time. The bottle opener and pry tool have been useful as well.

Coltellino Edc molto curato. Non ha il blocco lama ma non è un problema. Affilato all’arrivo , è un buon attrezzo . La marca è una garanzia di buona costruzione
