Celebrating potato perfection since 1982
Kettle had about as humble a start as can be had. Our founder sold natural foods from a van way back in 1978. His original vision - great taste with authentic recipes - has been our driving ambition ever since.
Kettle has always been about real people who care about what we do. As each product makes its way from farms to our kitchens and then to your home, the time and attention each Kettle Brand worker puts into our products is care you can taste.

To my surprise when I opened a giant box of chip mail I discovered 12 bags of plain salted chips which had nearly all exploded in the air freight - the oils had leaked out and soaked the cardboard box and the 12 bags of opened chips were a little stale.
Unfortunately, there is an apparent shortage of pickle flavored chips and I lost the potato chip shell game.
A few months ago, I purchased SC&O organic chips from Costco and my 9yr old and I FELL IN LOVE with them. OMG so good. So, we were so bummed that Costco stopped carrying them recently. I couldn't find them at local stores I shop either so I looked them up on Amazon and ended up buying a 12 pack of 8.5 oz bags. They're not organic but, since they ARE GMO free, I figured they'd do. And they're good too! We'd gotten through about 6 bags before we poured some into a bowl for the kiddo and she said there were clumps of sand in them. I dismissed it thinking it was the flavored powder but, after tasting it, she was right - it really is like sand. It's dark brown and looks like brown sugar but no taste so more like sand. Any idea how this happened? I'm leary about eating or sharing more of these after this incident.
2 stars here because, of the 12 bags, not all of them had sand and we were able to enjoy them but now I'm pretty turned off and am not interested in eating any more of them especially if no one cares to find the root cause and respond that they are ok to eat.
That said, my last batch tastes EXTREMELY salty, and also seems greasier than normal. I will be reaching out directly to Kettle on this, as some are so salty we had to toss the bags.
