This coconut oil is great quality and a good value! I use coconut oil regularly in cooking. I have tried several brands and this is one of my favorites. I love that it is raw and organic. The price is pretty decent as well. A little goes a long way and this product is really great for cooking with high temperatures. I have tried other products from this company and like them a lot as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this product or anything else from Kavala.

Bad Aftertaste

I eat a lot of coconut oil. I generally have 3-4 tablespoons everyday and two of those I eat right out of the jar. I have tried tons of brands over the years and generally try a new one every other month. This is the second brand I have bought that has a odd aftertaste. It's almost like a soapy taste and it really ruins the coconut oil. No clue what causes this but it really makes it impossible to use this coconut oil.

Sweet-smelling and in a glass jar--great!

So far we're loving this. We use coconut oil for all kinds of things, but mostly in green smoothies and for messages/skin care. It will get rid of skin problems, dry skin, etc. It starts working overnight, and may take a few days of repeated use to clear up skin issues. It's so important to use organic RAW coconut oil. The raw makes all the difference.

This oil came in a glass jar, which is important--no toxins to leach into the oil, like with plastic jars. It also had a sweet smell, which is good. It's not uncommon to get coconut oil that has "gone over". We keep ours in a fridge if we think a jar will last us a long time. But it usually doesn't.

I haven't tried it in smoothies yet. If it's not good in the smoothies, I will update this review. But I suspect it will be fine--I did a tiny taste test, and it seemed fine to me. So far, very pleased.

bit of an off taste

This coconut oil had a bit of an off taste (sort of cardboard-like). It looked like it had melted during shipping (and congealed while the jar was on its side), so it may have been subjected to too high temperatures at some point. It may have been fine when fresh from the factory, but it wasn't by the time I received it. I don't plan to order it again.

Love this coconut oil!!!

This is a very high quality product at a great price. It tastes great and smells very fresh. I have become a big fan of Coconut oil over the last several years and love using this oil for cooking, smoothies and on my skin. Slight smell of coconut and is creamy to the touch. Recommended.

Tasted off and not very good.

I also thought this tasted a bit off. It didn't have anything close to the consistency as other brands I have used. It tasted just not fresh at all and a bit of a rancid flavor. Some of it seemed to be almost in a liquid state.
