I am of the mindset that when we know better, we do better! Langston in an effort to please his parents and thinking his mother's advice was in his best interest took possession of his and Ava's baby following her birth and kept her away from their child for seven years. When their daughter started asking for her mom Langston made up his mind to let Ava know that their daughter was not adopted by strangers but was and had always been with him. Sadly he never knew just how complicit his mother was and the manner in which she treated their child and Ava their child's mother until she badly bruised his child and he walked in on his mother berating his beautiful loving lighthearted daughter and that's when the tears began to really flow from me. There was so much love, hurt, goodness, evil intent, family support and yes forgiveness packed in this novel that I immediately fell in love with this story and all of it's fictional characters. You Ms. Riddick have penned a winner and for certain best seller in this novel!!!!! Excellent work Ms. Riddick really excellent work indeed!!!!!!!!!

I read this series a while ago and at that time Ava 's story was the only one I hadn't read so I was so ready for this,and Suzette again wrote a winner reading this story you couldn't help but fill the highs and the low s their relationship went through,and Ava was a fighter I was hoping she did punch Beatrice in the mouth just one time .the wait for this story was well worth it in this series It was uplifting to see these three friends get their happily ever after

I love second chance at love stories. Langston, Ava, and Zoe deserved their HEA even though Beatrice did everything in her power to try to destroy their happiness together. I was glad when Langston finally cut her off and when Janet stepped to Beatrice at Zoe's dance recital. Dominic and Janet, Henry and Joan, James and Nita, and Patrick and Donna are the old heads setting the example of love for Nick and Summer, Kevin and Starr, Langston and Ava, and soon Dom and Karen. I can't wait to read Dom and Karen's book because Kyle most definitely needs a positive male influence in his life. Kyle and Ashley both need a father. I've already read It’s My Turn with Charles and Beatrice falling in love and it was a whole experience watching Beatrice transform.

I loved the second-chance story. The author was very creative with the interaction between the flawed characters. She included twists and turns that kept me riveted from the first page. The addition of a smart child character is always my weakness in selecting books.

Each scene brought out a variety of emotions in the reader. How one person’s hatred and feeling of entitlement was responsible for destroying so many relationships. For me, it was difficult to muster some forgiveness for the antagonist.

The beautiful cover was right on point and provided a vivid image of well-written true to life characters.
