As well you as a business person, (and everything is business) must be on spot, providing and surpassing the level of quality expected, on time, and worthy of referrals and a highly valued reputation.
Colin Myles has written a short and right on book which readers ought to take as a light knock on their consciousness which they will remember and refer to mentally as they go about their life and business.
Many people need to raise their readiness to determine what is acceptable in order to not short change themselves. 5 Keys to doing business with the Right People succeeds at informatively arming people to that end.
Also this book hits the flip side of the coin, which is to raise your knowledge and subsequently readiness to make sure that you value the time and money of others, in order to provide properly and supremely.
Quality and business respect is a circle, and you must provide it as well as demand it. Colin writes it better than I have in this review, and does so in a length which is proper for getting the job done.
If you apply the keys presented in this book I believe that you will benefit in a lifetime of small and large interactions. I have.
I like the way that it focuses on TRUST, and it creates a memorable and easy set of rules to follow to find the right person to do business with.
This is a great kindle purchase, and I would highly recommend it for beginners, because the examples are clear and it is all easy to understand.
This book is clearly aimed at customers who are trying to decide who to work with, and I think if you follow the advice here it is very sensible and you wont go wrong.
If there would be one thing I would like to see more of in this book it would be to have help and advice for companies who maybe are not the "perfect" company and want to improve. Perhaps that would be a nice follow up or sequel. Sometimes things go wrong, and it would be great to see how companies can recover from breaking one of the 5 keys.
Overall, this is a good book with sensible, useful advice.
