The next year was the year of the Dave, more or less.
I went back twenty years later for a recruiting event. Fully half of the people you pass in the hall are women, which makes sense, as half of their starting class - every year - are now women. They Solved The Damn Problems. So I wandered the halls asking how the hell they did it, as I was spending time recruiting for a large tech company, and if CMU could fix this, so could we. Everyone pointed me at Carol, and this book. And yeah. They solved it.
Carol, if you ever read this far through the reviews? Thank you. You literally did something I would have thought impossible, got it done, and explained how others to follow the path, and all of that in one package is damn well amazing.
