I assembled this stool in less than 30 mins (and I do not assemble much). So if it was easy for me, than most can do it. The instructions were not intimidating. They were picture instruction. I love that this is wood instead of the cheap plastic.
Plus delivery was faster than expected with this heavy product.
We first saw the floor model in a store but they had none in stock. We later bought online but for about $22-25. We have two - one in the kitchen, and one in a bathroom. The stool is heavy (read: sturdy, not going anywhere while your kid is going up/down), but was easy to assemble (arrives packaged flat). The stool is *not* a spacesaver, but given the drawbacks that other stools posed and the intended user, that was not our primary focus. We looked at more complex, expensive models (tower-like) that are interesting conceptually but much too large for our home (and also $80-100). We already own a couple of inexpensive step-stools, including one that it technically for children, but none of them went up high enough. One reviewer pointed out that these stools don't run up flush with walls, counters, etc. but have not found that problematic. I saw another model at IKEA ("Bekvam") that I think goes up plenty high, but it wasn't available at the time that we needed it, and when I actually saw it in person, I found that the distance from lower to higher step was really too great.
Initially we assisted our child in going up and down. One of our sinks is a pedastel and so we are very careful around that one.Read more ›
Because of the gap, my son needs to bend forward to reach stuff. This exposes design flaw #2. Without any type of rubber feet, my son can easily push the whole step stool backwards while reaching forward. It's easy enough to add some rubber feet purchased from a hardware store, but it seems like something they should have included for a product marketed for toddlers.
It does look nice, but it's questionable functionally.

Bought this for my little dog. Although it is sturdy and looks nice, the steps were too slippery for my little dog.Published 12 hours ago by Shan
Wonderful tall stool for kids. Our bathroom counters and sinks are high and other cheaper stools were way to low for our 3 yr old. This is made well and she loves it.Published 1 day ago by Vicki G

Great quality. Glad I bought this instead of a plastic step stool for my toddler to use for brushing teeth and washing hands.Published 29 days ago by C. Buck
Cheap crap but not cheap price. Several of the screws just spin in place when I tried to screw them in and they actually were stripping the paint off the stool. Read morePublished 29 days ago by sarah
