The volume control was the source of many panics as often it would get bumped right down leading to a "my headphones are not working" situation. It took a while to train them to check the volume control. These did not last a full school year, even when mostly left stored safely at school.

The earphone rotates 180 degrees so the earpiece faces out. To a child this makes it look like they can just pivot it back into place. It can *almost* pivot 180 degrees but... My 8 yr old tried to rotate the headphone back into position (instead of flipping the ear cup) the wrong way and shattered the plastic case around the pivot at the screw holes. Completely unrepairable.
