I agree with other reviews - the instructions are terrible and do not actually tell you how to install this. It was not hard but you will need to use some common sense in the install (FYI I am a computer person, not a handy person and I was able to figure this out). What I did was put the shelf on the wall where I wanted it, but a little bit lower. Then I put my level on top to get it straight. then I drew a line across the shelf so I knew were to screw in the wood blocks. Then I measured how far in the routed in wood was for the wood mounting blocks were from each end, marked it then held the wood mounting block at that mark and marked where the holes were for the screws to go through the wood mounting blocks. Since I wasn't going into studs I drilled pilot holes and then hammered in the anchors (two of the anchors busted because I drilled a small hole, FYI). Then I screwed in the screws through the wood mounting blocks, hung the shelf and Bob's your uncle! All in all it took me about 10-15 minutes (I had to dig around for more anchors in my junk drawer).
