I.ve purchased these twice, a few months apart. They are not the same this time- these straws are not the same straws I bought the first time- they are flimsy and sometimes don't last through one drink.
I will not buy them again.
I demand consistent quality control in a product that will touch something I'm consuming.

These are great for cold beverages, not hot ones, of course. They are paper, after all. Saving our planet one paper straw at a time feels good, they are cute, and they have no odd smell or flavor. Price is fair for the number of straws you get.

I really like the look of these, I bought them for a reptile themed party and they were really cute, but personally I can taste too much of the paper when I'm sipping my beverage. They can last a long time in the cup before they absorb too much liquid, my kids didn't seem to mind it. My taste buds are just more sensitive, so this may not be an issue for you. I can use them for a little while, but then I have to change it out. So for me, it's just Ok. If I were rating the look alone, they would be a 5 star :-) They are also thin, a little thinner than a standard size straw. If you're familiar with the straws from IKEA, they are just a tad bigger than those which are VERY thin but I love them for certain cups we have (like the kids "Ice Cream" cup from Denny's they sold some time ago, we have 4 of them and the IKEA straws were the only ones I could find that fit those cups. These bamboo ones do NOT fit).

Oh, additionally, the box they're packaged in isn't very sturdy and comes apart easily so be careful when handling. I ordered about 5 boxes of these and it was the same with all of them. I just transferred them to a paper bag. I was going to transfer to a Ziploc but that seemed to defeat the purpose of "going green" and I felt guilty! We had a lot left over, so I have some in a Mason jar in the kitchen and my family grabs them from there and extras are stored in the bag.

They're pretty, and actually get compliments. As the title says, these are *biodegradable paper* so it should not come as a surprise that they don't last for several drinks, the most often cited complaint in the negative comments! Stick a fresh one in each drink, and enjoy. Much better choice than plastic (plastic is forever!)

Coming from another brand of paper straws. These are smaller in diameter than normal straws and they can don't last more than a few sips before becoming waterlogged. Now I know sometimes a bad batch of paper straws can ruin the experience, but it was a very bad experience.

I always read reviews before buying and was apprehensive about buying these because others have noted that they don't hold up for drinking. They were beautiful and priced well so I took the plunge and I'm so glad I did! Not only is the color vibrant and beautiful but they are sturdier then I would think is possible with a paper straw. If this tells you anything I used these in a mason jar with a cute paisley lid at a party I threw. They were sitting already poured with straw immersed in lemonade on buffet drink table. People could just grab and go. Lemonade is highly acidic so I was shocked when my drink straw help up throughout the length of the party. I honestly do not know how others posted that they were poorly constructed. If your on the fence but them, you won't be disappointed.

Even Biodegradable means Wasteful

I am not a big fan of paper straws after ordering these.
Using these for anything besides decoration, meaning for a straws intended purpose, is pointless.
The Taste, and feel in my mouth when I use these for my drinks is very weird and "hard to swallow"
These straws don't last very long, so slow drinkers take note.
Biodegradable still means you throw these away, not very eco-friendly

Titanium Drinking Straws are the way to go if you want something that will last that doesn't taste weird or if are a slow drinker and don't want your straw to disappear into your drink.

I love these! I recently got married and wanted an alternative to plastic straws dor for our Italian sofa bar. These were great! They definitely float a lot more in carbonated drinks than plastic, but we had no issues with them dissolving or anything like that over our 4 hour reception. I'll be using these instead of plastic when I'm away from home now, since the metal straws attract a lot more attention than I want. :)

I ordered these for a woodland birthday party. They are very pretty! But like all pretty things, didn't last very long. Which, I mean, c'mon, they're biodegradable and PAPER. Paper isn't meant to hold up to liquid! They lasted long enough to get through the party, and they added a lot to the decor and feel of the party. That's exactly what I expected, and these straws delivered! Very satisfied.

Cons. Dont last more than 2min in a warm drink. Unknown sources and manufacturer so cannot be trusted as from personal experience these could be made by all sorts of different factories with sometimes little or no control on quality and suitability of materials. Looking at the small print these are made in China(see photo) Overpriced and would not recommend. Prefer to buy from local manufacturers for that sort of price of 7 to 8 quid as more chances that they will be made to EU safety standrads. Box not sealed apart from flimsy sticker so arrived half open. Avoid

Whilst we’ve had these straws many, many times before I was disappointed to discover that although the package itself was fine, once open the box of straws was damaged and open and half the straws had spilled out.

I ordered two boxes of straws, red and grey, red straws were sort of ok, but the box with grey straws had lots of issues, firstly, it was 4 straws short, so I have received only 140 instead of 144, and that's an issue for me, as I have to prepare 12 packs of 12 straws each (I only managed 11 parks and 8 straws leftovers). Secondly, the pattern of straws was off as well, 30% of the lines were not going the same direction as others. And finally, all straws at the bottom were slipped off. So in the end, I had no choice just to bin them. What a waste....
