To potential buyers who expect a 1:1 ratio between the plastic skull mug and the glass skull mug, make sure to note the size because this glass mug is significantly smaller than the plastic one. In fact, the plastic mug I owned was about double in size so make sure to look up the size specifications when you buy this glass mug.
I admit, the plastic skull was nice but the weight and feel of this glass version makes it a million times superior. There is a confidence in the way it holds that is not present with a plastic mug. In addition, the glass is thick and you can feel the quality in the craftsmanship. I have no fear of clanking this mug with friends and having it break.
Be aware that the seam does run vertically through the center of the face. If this detail is a problem for you do not buy it! On the other hand, if you can't care less, and want a sinister mug to drink some brew out of, don't think twice!
It lasted three months, then the handle came off while I poured a nice frosty margarita into it. The factory glue job on the handle is good, but THE HANDLE IS GLUED ON. After repeated temperature-related stresses, the glue eventually came loose. A week later, the thin glass got cracked in the sink, and that was the end of the mug's life. I'm not ordering another, though I do wish there was one that looked like it but wasn't so poorly made.
