Note: The best deal for a similar product is the pig keychain(s) on Amazon $9.99 for set of three. Also, your local store (the one with the red, bulls-eye logo) typically has some of these around Halloween & the Holidays in the Dollar Spot Section for less. I would buy more Aliens if they were less expensive and came with good batteries. Great that battery, shipping plastic was in place, so the Alien did not talk or light up in transit. Still needs better batteries. FYI: The batteries can be replaced, if you are VERY tech savvy. They are LR1130 x 3. Best to use Energizer 390/389, which are expensive. Careful, they are thinner than most button batteries and you must obey the polarity (+/-) written on the tiny cover. Also, the wires are very thin inside. They will short out easily.
Ok, I just had to buy another one. Again, it came with weak batteries. Barely made a sound and the lights were dim. I replaced the batteries with Energizer 390/389. Loud & bright as could be. Again, too expensive for a dead Alien on arrival. Batteries cost more than the little green guy. My friends are into Aliens. I can fix these green guys with new batteries. If you can do the same, then go for it.
Duck: This one's Dad's. I hate his ducks. Yep, literal, quacking ducks (the kind with feathers). The keychain has a button on the wing and blue LED lasers for eyes. One hit of the button gets one "quack," but holding in the button gets an ongoing stream of quacks! It sounds a lot like those old toy duck calls we'd play with as kids. Talk about rubber ducky 2.0!
Owl: A lady beyond a certain age has done a great deal to help me since my mother's passing. I buy little things to thank her, and she loves owls. The button for the owl is on top of its head. It has much larger eyes than the duck, but the single vs. rapid-fire sound feature is the same. Don't expect a nice, ladylike "hoot"; you'll get a rather loud and impressive owl (and I'm fairly certain he's hungry).
Cat: Did you guess the black cat was mine? How many cats are on my purse now? This keychain can stand on four feet, if you don't want to dangle it, while the others would just sit on flat bird butts. Punching this sweety's button releases a series of three meows, not one single sound, such as with the other keychains. Sadly, the cat has the most unrealistic sound effect, but I do think a black cat with whitish glowing eyes is darn scary. So did my unsuspecting brother. Hee-hee.
* Keychains consist of a rubbery-plastic focal connected by 1.25" of heavy-duty rotating metal assembly to a carabiner clip
* Animal averages 2" by 1.25", but may vary
* One pulse of the button gets one sound effect (except for the cat), while holding it in plays the sound continuously
* Batteries are not replaceable in all versions of the keychains (even of the same animal)
* Beware lasers around children and pets; these things are painful!
