If you want your kid to eat a lot of vegetables (and I do), one thing you can try is stir-frying them. You don't need a lot of soy sauce for that, but if you are doing this three times a week for a teenager (and his dad), you will use up your soy sauce faster than you ever thought possible. FWIW, my kid will eat fried cauliflower rice with a wide variety of fresh vegetables stir-fried into it. When you are almost finished making the stir-fry, toss in a little bit of soy sauce mixed with toasted sesame oil. It tastes really good and neutralizes the cruciferous odor of the cauliflower.
However, years ago, I switched to low sodium kikkoman (the green bottle). Recently, I ran out and needed soy sauce fast, for a recipe. I ordered this bottle because of Prime and, honestly, it was way cheaper. Big mistake. I used it for a marinade and the saltiness was overpowering.
Still, I have to give it 3 stars because it is better than other brands
And, it's fine to use if you are just adding a little soy sauce to a dish or recipe. Plus, the salt content is a matter of personal preference. I highly reccommend the low sodium variety of kikkoman though.
