About the Author
to kill the duke is Sam Moffie's fifth novel and will not disappoint. When not writing, you can find him arguing the merits of making Howard Hughes more likable with his editor and trying to figure out the never ending newness of the social network with his publicist. When all else fails, he operates his Tavern, plays with his wife, walks his dogs and worries about his children and grandchildren. Currently, he is working on his next novel Requiem for a Casanova.

What did I like about it? There were so many funny things that happen that it kept me laughing. All in all I finally enjoyed the story, it was very developed with lots of history and you can tell there was a lot of work put into the story line. The characters most of them real people were described in descriptive details. You could almost feel them.
What did I dislike? Well, I was unfamiliar with this style of writing and it took me quite awhile to really get into it but once I did it really took off.
What will you like? If your into the past and the Hollywood scene with stars and Howard Hughs then you will really get a kick out of it. There is lots of emotions flying around with humor among them. Give it a chance and you'll see what I mean.
After reading the book, I was so intrigued with some of the topics that I spent several hours online searching for additional information about the real life characters and events. To me, that is the sign of an excellent book. One that I enjoy reading and leaves me wanting to learn more.
This was my first Sam Moffie book, and I plan to download others.
