Of course it's "classic"...and being so, of course it's dated. I suppose there's value to be gleaned, but you'd be better off going and training somewhere.

This book I'll give three stars too. Much of the hand to hand combat techniques are in Fairbairn's books.

I felt I wasn't reading anything new reading this book.

Also the SAS Extreme unarmed Combat is also a better book for H2H combat.

You can compare the two books to see how you feel about them.

Very old material, of some use, perhaps historical interest, but not suitable to a beginning student.
