"Who Killed Kurt Cobain (The Mysterious Death of an Icon)" is a very well-written book. I must say that the author(s) of this book really did a great job. This book looks at all points of view, from Courtney Love to the band members, to the family, to the media, and even to Kurt himself. This book gives just about everyone a chance to say what they think happened to Kurt, and then presents evidence to prove/disprove theories. This book is a very interesting book I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get an understanding on what happened to Kurt. This book really does not state weather Kurt was killed or not, it just lays out some evidence and theories and let's you decide what you think really happened. It is an over-all good read, and I hope someday the case can be re-opened to see WHO KILLED KURT COBAIN.

I'm not a conspiracy guy. I'm one of the biggest skeptics out there. However something about the death of Kurt Cobain always intrigued me. This book gives a good background into Kurt, Nirvana and Courtney Love. Some of the theories I am highly skeptical of however I can believe in shoddy police investigations and spouses with ulterior motives. Both of those are hightlighted well.

whatever your own conclusions on kurt's death this is a book that needed to be written. this is the first of 2 books by these authors on this subject (love & death is a follow-up/update). the writers have been as thorough as they have allowed to be in a largely unbiased professional way; apart from perhaps overstating the point of "copycat suicides" by going into mini biographies of those. to say that they've opened up a can of worms is an understatement; and they've done remarkably cohearantly considering the world of worms they found with no-one seemingly willing or able to give straight answers or their full co-operation; even those who adhere to the murder theory seem to be all too eager to discredit each other (despite being on the same side) and continuiously hint at further vital information and yet are unwilling to give it. although there are suspicions levelled at courtney (kurt's wife) which kurt fans have picked up on this book is committed to keeping an open mind until all facts are in, and other suspects (such as carlson) are never ruled out. whether you believe it was suicide or murder or accident or a mixture of those or just don't know you'll find this a fascinating read and i'm sure there'll be info in there that you didn't know or hadn't considered.
