As the name of her book implies, Amy writes humorously and honestly about her battle with breast cancer. She explores how it impacts her psyche, her kids, her relationships with her husband and friends, and her outlook on life (and death) with a wry and sincere voice. A terrific read!

Amy may be my sister in law, but this review is not colored by that fact. Her bravery in facing her diagnosis was only surpassed by her sense of humor...which she kept throughout her treatment and recovery.

This was a very well written book, it's essentially the author's blog as she went through her battle with breast cancer. I was somewhat surprised at the lack of emotion, it seemed somewhat clinical to me at points. I also can't help wondering if I could have just searched for her blog and read the same thing for free.

Amy's story about her journey through breast cancer is thoughtful, informative and packed full of her wry humor. A great read all around, but particularly insightful for those who are going through, or who have loved ones going through, breast cancer.

I read Amy's testimony on her journey through cancer during my countless nights without sleep. The wait between biopsy result and mastectomy was terrifying. Amy's blog helped me to find resources and strength to face and win (for now!) the breast cancer battle. Thanks Amy and haut les coeurs!

I received a Kindle version of this book for free on LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review.

This blog format book is at times sad, humorous, happy, and sobering. What stood out to me is how helpful the practical things, like cooking, can be to someone fighting an illness and his/her family, even if it doesn’t feel like it does to the one who is helping. I appreciate the author sharing her journey so honestly and openly.

This breast cancer memoir is manifestly not a journey but a fight. It chronicles what it is like for a healthy mother of two young children to be faced with a shock diagnosis. Many parts are grim and clinical because that's what breast cancer is like. Other parts are spirited and witty because that's what the author is like. The daily entries derive power from the fact that it was written when the outcome was uncertain.
