Aria Michaels says the genre of this book is dystopia, thanks to that seriously over-rated series that is now an even more over-rate successful movie chain I was worried that I wouldn’t care for it. Obviously I worried for naught. She did a great job of creating a world set in the dystopia genre that as a reader I could completely believe might come to pass. If you have a YA it allows for great societal discussions over the dinner table.
I think I can sum up how please I am with this read by saying that normally I purchase my Amazon books from the 99 cents list, this time I paid 4.99 and think it was worth every penny and then some. My only complaint is I want to read the sequel and it isn’t released yet.
Killshot is Powerful, Energizing, and will Blow your mind..
Aria Michaels has the ability to suck the reader in and take them on the journey with the kids in the book, making you feel everything they are on this journey..
I was totally not prepared for what I thought this would be. After reading the first book Before the sky fell, I was thinking that this would be a continuation of an older sister trying to put her life in order and get her brother back from Foster Care.
How wrong I was, but in a good way. Yes Olivia (Liv) still wants to get her brother back, but what happens at a high school rooftop get together to witness the rare Icarus Solar Flare, will forever change EVERYTHING!!!
A bunch of teenagers, a night full of a promise of fun, will come together and merge with what only one could call The End of Time, as we know it.
Some will survive....Some will not...But the Others...can only be call Demons...
Olivia, Zander, Rylie, Machia, Jake and other teenagers will come together to fight to live no matter what...but what they see when they venture outside will have you even thinking, Is this The End..
So what will happen to these teens... well I am not going to spoil it...But I sure as Hell can not wait for the next book...
Liv is a complex character, she is angry and closed off. She has one goal in life, one purpose, and she doesn't want anything to detour her from that. That is until the apocalypse of course. Now she may have a slight detour. Not only does she meet a boy that may literally be made just for her, but the sun is about to rain down hell on them and change everything!
The span of the book is only 3 days, but these characters, which are all completely amazing, live month's worth of events in those 3 days, and it is only the beginning of their nightmare.
Overall this is an amazing story and I am completely hooked, but the book needs a good editor, and then it would be perfection.
