It's the MacCarrons Vs. The MacKinlochs as a reluctant bride and groom conspire to avoid an unwanted marriage - What a hilarious battle of wits and wills! This book made me laugh - It is filled with memorable, brilliantly drawn characters - They are so likeable, so REAL! Not only are our Hero, Ewan, and Heroine, Shona wonderful, the supporting cast of characters that you will meet along the way, are superb, as well!
CLASH OF THE TARTANS is an absolutely perfect title for this series! I give this book a solid five stars, for a captivating plot, brilliant humor,
breathtaking adventure, and a lovely, memorable romance - Don't miss KILTY SECRETS! I am eagerly anticipating the next installment in this
series! Thank you, Anna Markland!
Set in Scotland, this story is about two clans, the MacKinlochs and the MacCarrons, who are feuding since ages. The chiefs of these clans want peace, so they organize a betrothal between their children Ewan and Shona. However, both these two, do not want to get married to someone from the enemy clan. So Ewan and Shona concoct a plan that might work or not. Some scenes made me giggle! Enters, Jeannie and other charming characters to make matters worse or better. Will their ruse work?
-When things are finally settled, trouble rears it’s ugly head and Ewan needs to help rid his new clan from evil. There is so much more things happening that it needs to be read.
Anna Maryland wrote a book that is hard to put down. I am looking forward to reading book two.
The beginning is funny and I truly enjoyed watching each of their deceptions unfold.
There are two bad villains and caused havoc at every turn. This story is filled with passion, suspense, betrayal and murder.
We have actual lovemaking within marriage and once prior with foreplay. Since I felt a connection to both the H/h from the start with they do make love, it is full of passion and heat level 4 out of 5.
We get HEA, no cliffhanger, more than one love story. I am not going into the premise, as many have described it better than I can, just what you will discover reading it. (ljb)
The plot is interesting, the story has colorful characters and I read it from start to finish without putting it down. This was such fun. I enjoyed the banter, the romance had longing and the right touch of lust, and the history of the tale was engaging. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series!
