The Wildes of Birch Bay
Montana Ever After
Gabe Wilde has never been more ready for a change. Thirty-three and in the midst of a divorce, he’s packed up his second-grade daughter and come home to Birch Bay, Montana. New house, new career, new life. Only, with changes come stress. His daughter is struggling with the transition to their new norm—and Gabe is out of ideas as to how to help.
Erica Bird is mired in her own worries. After impulsively leaving the teaching job she loved, she may finally be free from her cheating ex, but separated from her family and everything she’s ever known, second guesses linger. Substitute teaching in Birch Bay is fine for the time being, but what will her future hold?
When Gabe’s daughter winds up in Erica’s class, the two meet—or rather, reunite. Neither has forgotten their college romance or the tender feelings they once shared, but will their complicated pasts destroy their second chance? Or will old desire lead to a new love when each needs it most?
Like . . . hot.
And he liked dogs. And kids. And he was oh-so-sweet.
He was basically all the things she would love to have in her life. Only, he was also all the things she had zero time for. With her career finally on the cusp of soaring, there was no chance she’d do anything to risk that.
Mason Crowder has been dreading Jade’s return since his sister announced her engagement. After all, he’s spent more years than he would ever admit pining over the woman, and that includes the two years they were together!
And dang it, he still wants her.
Not that he’s going to admit it. Nor will he stall his own life by waiting any longer.
If Jade can’t see he was the best thing to ever happen to her—and that with him, she could have both her career and a family—then he’s out. It’s time to finally move on. Find a woman who will settle down.
Only, he really, really wants the one who’ll be heading back to LA in less than two weeks.
Could he possibly quit asking what-if and risk going for the age-old “Will you?”
NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: This book was previously published as Birch Bay Bridesmaid, a novella that was 1/2 the length of its current form. Parts of that original version remain, however over half of the book is new and never before published.
After her mother’s tragic death, Dani Wilde had no choice but to abandon her dreams. She left Columbia University and returned to her family’s Montana cherry farm, intent on being a maternal figure to her brothers. Now the kids are grown, and it’s finally her time to fly. Her sights are on New York City, and nothing will stop her—not even an old flame with gorgeous green eyes.
Celebrity photographer Ben Denton hasn’t seen Montana in years—and hasn’t spoken to Dani since “that night” so long ago. When he discovers he’s a dad to a four-year-old—and the child’s mother refuses to care for her—Montana and the Wilde farm spring to mind. The orchard is the only place that’s ever felt like home, but will the warmth of the Wilde family be enough to help Ben figure out how to be a father?
As the Wilde family gathers for the yearly cherry harvest and Dani struggles to figure out what she really wants in life, she discovers the shocking truth about her own mother—and learns that following her heart may lead her to her dreams after all.
Championship bull rider Nick Wilde is the face of Montana Pro Rodeo, with all the acclaim and fans he can handle. But is that enough? Contemplating his next career move, he’s come home to his family’s cherry orchard—and to his childhood crush, helicopter pilot Harper Stone. But Harper’s not quite the sexy, badass girl he once lusted after. Recently widowed, she’s broken in two. Wanting to help her move on, Nick finds himself aching for the kind of stability he never had as a child.
True love comes once if you’re lucky, and Harper already had her shot. An accident took her husband eighteen months ago and left only pain and guilt in his place. Now Nick is waking up her body and heart to everything she might still have to gain—or lose. A second chance is more than she thinks she deserves. But with a man like Nick doing the persuading, maybe it’s time to try.
His hometown of Birch Bay isn’t the respite Cord Wilde envisions when forced to take a mandatory vacation. Instead, he finds that thanks to one memorable weekend back in the spring, he now faces the same situation as his siblings, expecting a “bundle of joy.” But accidental pregnancy or not, that doesn’t mean Cord has to be a hands-on dad. He can uphold his responsibilities without upending his life. Plus, his narcissistic mother once taught him a very valuable lesson: never get mixed up with a woman who can take control of your emotions. And no one has ever threatened his legendary control quite like Maggie.
Sweet and sassy schoolteacher Maggie Crowder has made one big oops in her life, but she isn’t letting that bring her down. She just has to show hunky long-time crush Cord Wilde that their weekend together was more than a good time and an unexpected pregnancy. After all, she couldn’t be the only one who’d felt a connection, right? Only, Cord has a pretty big wall around his heart, and he isn’t letting anyone through. Will the lure of unconditional love, as well as the draw of finally returning home to Birch Bay, be enough to break through his last ounce of resistance?
Return to Wilde Orchard once more, and fall in love with the Wilde family all over again.
Young, vibrant, and willing to confront any obstacle in her path, Bree Yarbrough has spent the last few years traveling the world and learning from the great artists. Only, her work has yet to strike a lasting chord. When her hometown mentor reaches out with an opportunity that will set her on the path to success, she knows she can’t say no. But once back in Silver Creek, she discovers she isn’t the only one who’s returned home. Justin Cory has as well—and he’s living next door. She may have made a fool of herself over him before, but Bree isn't the kind of girl to let past mortification stand in the way of something she wants.
The last ten years of Justin Cory’s life has been driven by one focus: go to school, get his physical therapy degree, and return home so he can be there for his mom. But now that he's back, he can't stop thinking about the night that changed his life forever—and the guilt he can't escape. Fun, irresistible, and once-best-friend Bree seems like the perfect distraction. She isn't sticking around past the holidays, so he doesn't have to worry she’ll expect more than he can give. But as they spend the season together, stolen mistletoe kisses start to feel all too right. However, with the future uncertain and the past hanging over them, it may take more than mistletoe to get from Christmas to forever.
Construction tip #1: Never anger a hot-tempered woman who knows how to wield a sledgehammer. And right now, Jill Sadler is spitting mad. Her company is competing on the wildly popular show Texas Dream Home, and she intends to give it her all. The opposition: We Nail It Contractors, helmed by the man who once married her…and walked out twenty-four hours later. Jill can’t let Cal Reynolds take this round. Not when she has her foster sisters and years of righteous resentment spurring her on.
Winning the contest would do wonders for Cal’s firm. Getting under Jill’s skin is just a bonus. She paints him as a villain, though Cal had no choice but to leave. Yet being around Jill again—fiery on the outside, vulnerable and warm underneath—is setting off sparks that can’t be blamed on faulty wiring. And the only way to fix the Jill-size hole in his heart is to risk everything and see if this love is built to last…
Yet something feels off.
Maybe it’s simply the over-the top wedding her stepmother has orchestrated.
But then Mary Catherine runs into Jax. The bad boy, hell-raising, hotter than a metal tailgate in the late-summer Texas sun cowboy. The guy she once broke all the rules for.
She once planned to marry Jax.
But in two weeks she’s going to marry Brad.
NOTE FROM AUTHOR: Marry Me, Cowboy was previously published as part of the anthology Cowboys for Christmas.
Nate Wilde is ready to leave Birch Bay. He’s been home too long as it is and extending his visit means risking fantasies of staying for good. Wants and desires never work out for him, though. With good comes bad, and he’s had enough bad to last a lifetime. Unfortunately, his siblings need him. The family orchard is on the brink of collapse, and they’re relying on him to help. Only . . . what can he possibly do to save an orchard that’s lost most of its trees?
Megan Manning, ex-girlfriend to Nate’s youngest brother and manager of the Wilde family’s cherry-themed gift store, intends to settle permanently in her newly adopted town. Her own family has always cared more about traveling the world than creating a place to call home, so she’s going to make that for herself. Her list for happiness is simple. A rewarding job, good friends, and finding someone to love. She doesn’t want the kind of love she grew up with, however. She wants someone willing to stick.
As Nate works to save the orchard, Megan pitches in to help. After all, no cherry farm equals no need for a cherry-themed gift store. But when constant contact has their chemistry spiking, Megan discovers there’s more than the family business worth fighting for. Only, will Nate be able to handle falling for his brother’s ex? Or will he walk . . . exactly as her family always has?
Sometimes dreams change…and sometimes it takes a dream reader to make it happen.
When Jaden Wilde’s girlfriend turns down his marriage proposal just months before he receives his master’s in counseling, he’s convinced that it’s cold feet. Until he learns that her no came at the advice of a new age “dream reader.” But Arsula’s hardly the woo-woo hippie his scholarly mind imagined. She’s charming, smart, and uncannily perceptive. And before long, he’s drawn to her—despite his ongoing skepticism for how her practice works.
Arsula’s intuitions led her to Birch Bay not to guide Jaden’s girlfriend—but to guide him to his best life possible. As the odd one out in an unsupportive family, Arsula can relate to the struggle to find one’s path, and she wants to see Jaden with the woman of his dreams. Although she’s cautious of being the rebound girl, what she’s starting to feel for him is too real to ignore.
When Jaden’s own volatile family issues come to a head and his doubts are made resoundingly clear, Arsula worries she’s misread the signs. Maybe they’re all wrong for each other. Maybe he should be with his ex. She’s supported him, but if he can’t believe in her, how will they ever find out if they’re truly meant to be?
Kelly and Becky Griffin can’t seem to keep their hands off each other—which would be fine if they weren’t divorced. Every few months, looking for “closure,” they fall into bed together. To keep his mind off of Becky and his foundering acting career, Kelly heads to Turtle Island, Georgia, to be a contestant in the Yummy Santa contest. But when Becky shows up, winning the title is suddenly the last the thing on his mind. Becky has arrived with more than hot ex-sex on the agenda. She’s got a big secret to get off her chest, if she can only get Kelly to listen. Will these two finally get the closure they need, or will their reunion spark a second chance at first love? All bets are off in this fun, sexy romance with Kim Law’s signature Southern charm.
