Kimberly Santiago was born in Alexandria, LA during the era of the baby boomers. In her early childhood she lived in Europe. She grew up mainly in the Southeast region of the states and remains a resident of Tennessee today. She has spent the majority of her career as an artist and a teacher. Although, her ventures in life are not limited to art, she has worked as a surgical tech in the OR on the Burn, Trauma and Transplant team, been a field agent for the Census Bureau, worked with the Election Commission during National Elections and designed store sets for a chain of regional retail stores. Her wide range of jobs has helped to enhance her outlook on life and especially art.
Kimberly has a twin brother, Keith, who has always encouraged and supported her creative endeavors. Her husband, Luis was born in Panama to Puerto Rican parents. Their marriage is filled with laughter and moments of conversations lost in translation. They are parents to two daughters, Brittney and Amber. Brittney, a second grade teacher and her husband Justin have two children. Amber, a CPA and her husband Ian are currently living in the UK.
Throughout her life, Kimberly has had work shown in Paris, and London. Her work has also been published in HOW magazine. "Collage Playground" was a labor of love, she is thrilled to have written and published her first book. She plans to continue her quest in art and write more books.
