I’ve been a fan of Lacey Black’s since the release of her first book, Trust Me. I absolutely love the unique way she vividly captures life and love in a small town. Small town romances, especially revolving around a big family, are a favorite of mine. I love to get lost in a series of stories about small-town, big families, and it is Lacey Black who always comes to my mind first when that’s what I’m in the mood to read.

My Kinda Mess is the fourth book in her Summer Sisters series. Set in the beach town of Jupiter Bay, the series is based on the six Summer sisters as they find love in their quaint town. This is Lexi, one of the twin youngest Summer sisters, and Linkin’s story. Lexi was in the midst of a divorce from her high school sweetheart when she met Linkin. Lexi, a hairstylist, and her ex-husband, Chris, had been growing apart for years, but it was a deception that dashed Lexi’s dream perpetrated by Chris that put the final nail in the coffin of that relationship. The chemistry between Lexi and Linkin sizzled from the start, but with her fresh out of a long-time relationship and vowing to steer clear of bad boys, Lexi is a bit hesitant to give in to this attraction. It isn’t until she takes the time to really get to know Linkin that she discovers the great guy hiding behind the cocky smirk. An ample supply of the hilariously inappropriate grandparents’ antics along with plenty of interaction from Lexi’s big, boisterous family and Linkin’s sword-wielding, twin eight-year-old little brothers round out My Kinda Mess into another winner from Lacey Black in a series full of them.

My Kinda Mess was a beautiful love story between two people who were perfect for each other. Their happily ever after kept my heart racing, got cheeks burning and had me laughing out loud from cover-to-cover. Lacey Black’s My Kinda Mess gets five smooches from me!

What can I say about this book, Lacey kills it once again with this series, based on 6 sisters, each one pulling you in more than the other did!
In this one we find out what's truly going on with the youngest Summer sister, twin Lexi, who's had enough of her husband working non stop, spending less and less time with her. She finally leaves him when she discovers his secret, crushing what was left of her heart. She moves into her twin Abby's apartment since she basically is living with Levi now, and tries for a fresh start. When she once again meets the neighbor Linkin, who has captured her eye, but she feels it's too soon.
Linkin has had a thing for Lexi since she yelled at him months ago, but is he worthy of her? He can't help the attraction he feels for her, throw in his 8 year old twin brothers, one just like him who makes him declare his claim on her before the one brother Jack does!
Between Linkin's twin brothers, and Lexi's family, not to mention the famous Grandparents, who in my opinion are the best characters ever, get involved, will they continue to fight their attraction, or will they give in?
This book was amazing, as is the whole series, if you haven't read one in it yet, you can choose any and start, once you do you are going to be hooked!!
5 amazing plus stars for this one, and I can't wait for AJ's story next!!! I never want this series to end Lacey!!!!

I had accidental stumbled upon Lacey Black with her first book in this series and I will NEVER go back!! I CRAVE new releases like their drugs from Lacey Black and hot mess is probably my favorite of the series thus far. It hit all my top standards for what I expect out of a book while reading, humor, steam, a little bit of angst, and little surprises that I won’t ruin the story by putting here. Linkin and Lexi just ruined me for other books for a while because I’m have too high expectations now for books because of Lacey Black and her writing. She definitely in my books deserves to be a best selling author with all her books!! I cannot wait to see how this series continues to grow and cannot wait to feen for my next hit with her next book!!!

The Summer Sister series by Lacey Black is one of the best I have ever read. I love the romantic aspect of each story but the unexpected laughter I experienced as a result of the characters (Orval and Emma especially) has added another aspect to an already good read. Plus an unexpected event (book 3) adds to the emotional pull of this series. I recommend this series of books to any adult woman who enjoys a romantic series. I look forward to the continuing story of the Summer Sisters.

My kinda book! I love this series, and My Kinda Mess is one of my favorites. I loved Linkin. He is THE BOOK BOYFRIEND! Linkin and Lexie heat up this book. I love that it is low angst. I love the feeling of family. BUT, MOST of all, I love the grandparents. This book will cause you to smile and even give you some giggles. Great storyline. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger, but we know that AJ's book is next.

Love this series. Love, love, love the family interactions. This is a very sexy, hot, romantic but at the same time sweet story with very likeable characters. Thanks Lacey for the nice epilogue........ I really like when authors give us a little peak into the main characters' future. Linkin was HOT! I have to say, this book is my favorite in this series so far. I have loved every book, but Lexi and Linkin are my favorite. I loved Linkin. The way he was with Lexi was sweet and very sexy. I want my own Linkin! Lexi deserved so much and I am happy that she got her HEA. Lacy did it again. I can't wait for the next book in this awesome series.
