This is a great little stand. It does what it is supposed to do. It is also very slim when folded up which makes it ideal for travel or taking it with you. Might not work great if you have a big case on your Kindle, but if you do have a big case, it probably acts as a stand anyway.

The finish and feel is nice. It is about half brushed aluminum and half plastic. The base does have a nice weight to it so that it will not topple over very easily.

It opens nicely and closes smoothly.

Only one tiny complaint which isn't a big deal, but still worth mentioning. If the Kindle is placed horizontally, I would like a space to be able to plug in a charging cord and/or hdmi cable. Not a big deal since you can just turn it so the ports are on the top, but just something that I would have personally liked if they had done.

Overall, it is a nice product and a decent price point. Any more than $20 would be pushing it, but still pretty fair.

As I have always experienced Amazon products are delivered on or ahead of the time that is promised. This product performs as advertised but when the kindle fire is oriented portrait the unit is shut off due to the on/off button coming in contact with the cradle. This was alleviated by changing the orientation of the kindle output page 180 degrees and locking it. Slightly irritating but minor. Otherwise we like the stand.

This stand works on the Kindle Fire, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Keyboard and whatever else you need. Very quality built and I like the way it folds up when not using. It's nice and heavy. Love it!

My friend has always been talking about getting one of these, yet she never has time. Well now she won't have to, and now she can read in bed with ease and now worry about holding her Kindle. This was great!Kindle Fire Flipblade Stand by Belkin

After trying several different stands for my newest Kindle Fire 8.9 HD, I knew at once this was "it." It is compact, works exactly as advertised, versatile, collapsible ...... the earlier ones are now in that drawer all of us have for "stuff" that didn't quite do the job. This one does, and I use it every day.

Just got a new phone and a Kindle and this item is the bomb. I think it has been around a while too. I want to say years ago my friend had one but I couldn't figure out what the heck it was for, and still looked cool.

You hit the little catch or button and it slowly flips open, like slomo, and moves to it functional position. It is far more stable than it looks. I tried to tip it over casually, not, but you could give it a good whack and send it flying, but don't try that. Stand would handle
any phone or tablet from my initial assessment. High quality product. Has a fairly small footprint too. Has nice rubber on the bottom for a solid footing.

Holding phones or tablets is a drag and sometimes painful. I pick up the device from the stand and still hold it, there are times. It is really nice to be able to put it down for some period of time. Belkin is very portable too. Great accessory to add to your already burgeoning load. Well, me anyway. I could be off on this, but I think it is safer for your devices instead of laying them down flat when not in use.

Try it out, you'll like it!!

Update, on 03-2014, just got the 8.9 Kindle HDX and this flipblade is holding it rock steady, sweet. I also have a bigger phone now and great for that too. I don't like the attached cases and this is better to sit devices upright.

I bought this along with my Kindle Fire and it makes a good stand for watching Amazon Videos when I'm not holing the fire in my lap. I would have preferred a built-in micro USB plug to use it as a dock, but it does what I need it to without issues and I use it for my phone now and then as well...

I bought this for myself and it is a nice treat. Sure, you could prop your kindle up against something you already have...but this is a really cool stand, it glides open in slow motion (difficult to describe exactly) and the kindle never falls when on this, unlike homemade stands. Wish it were a little less pricey for what it is, but now that I have it, I am glad I got it. Hint: turn the kindle on it's side or upside down, otherwise the power button hits the stand and it sometimes turns off!
