This is the best kindle to buy in 2023. I watched a lot of reviews and the kindle kids 11th gen (this one) is the best for your buck. Amazon Kids gives you access to multiple books and it’s free for the first year, it also comes with no ads (only on Amazon Kids mode though). It also has a 2 year warranty included. It’s very light weight and comfortable to use. I’ve had mine for a week now and I only needed to charge it twice (it says weeks but in reality if you read longer than an hour a day, it’ll last about a week). I love how the features of this is essentially the same as the paper white. The only difference is there’s no auto adjust for lighting and there isn’t a warm light setting but I personally don’t like warm light so it doesn’t bother me. I read a lot faster with this and I love it so much. This kindle turned me back into a bookworm. 10/10 would recommend.

We just got our first kids kindle and there is a lot to love. But… I care a lot about the content of what my kids read. I spent a lot of time on the parents dashboard getting rid of books I don’t want on there. I prefer my kids read more quality books. With the Amazon kids plus subscription comes all sorts of things… a lot of mind numbing, time wasting material, but there’s also maybe 50-100 really quality books that make it worth keeping. On our previous Amazon kids product (a fire tablet) I was able to “heart” the books I wanted my kids to pay special attention to and those books would be in a “favorites” folder. They still had access to other things, but I was able to pick out quality books that I knew they would enjoy but they might not select on their own. Since we use this for homeschool, that is important to me. I assumed everything I had clicked the heart for would be in a favorites collection show on the kids home page, but there is no way to do this! I can of course add content that I have purchased, but I want to show them the good books that are included with the kids subscription. I know this is a semi-easy feature that the Amazon developers can add it. You can favorite items with every other kids plus subscription using device, why not this? You can already create “collections” outside of the kids version of the kindle, why not within the kids version? This would be a really amazing feature for the kindle. I could create a folder of suggestions for my kids and my kids could have a list of favorite books they see that they want to come back to. Please add this feature… thanks!

I'm the biggest reader ever and I've been pining after this for so long. Finally I gave in and bought it. I used to read on my 2018 Samsung 7" tablet but I hated the glare in the night and hated how heavy it was. But all of that was solved with the kindle!! So small and portable, so lightweight and easy on the eyes! They aren't playing when they say it looks like paper lol! I've had so much fun with this. I've already finished 5 books and I'm a college student lmao. I've been using social media less because of this. If you're thinking of getting it, DO IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT!!!!

It set up fast through my Amazon account, walks you through navigation, you can sign into both adult and kids on the device and we got a year of kids plus with registration of the device. I bought this for myself as a cheaper way to get an e reader to reduce headaches but my kids have been sharing it and reading on their own since we got it which has just been a day and a half! The color you select is a removable case so if you truly don’t like the design, just take it off and put it back on when your kids have it! So happy!
