The one thing about this I don’t like is that you can’t use it to make yeasted breads and the other GF options they have actually contain wheat? This particular bag is great for anything else not yeasted! It’s fresh, it smells good, the consistency is smooth not too grainy, it tastes wonderful and has a great mouthfeel after baked. And for the price I’m very impressed!!!

This GF flour worked well for biscuits, but not for cake or fried chicken. It's a bit pasty in texture the flavor is off-putting. I've decided to go back to Bob's Red Mill 1 to 1.

The best measure for measure flour I've found, a bit gritty

I have had trouble with some gluten free baking, especially cookies. I have used modified recipes with other brands of flour and have had success with some things. But I had a friend recommend this, and it works better than any other GF flour I've found as a measure for measure flour. I made some gingerbread cookies and a cheesecake with a cookie crust and they both worked out very well. The cookies did not spread like with other GF flours, they had some thickness and were chewy. Because I was looking for it, I did notice a little of the "gritty" texture that some GF flours cause--I have a professional baker friend that doesn't use this brand flour for that reason. But I didn't feel like it was so off-putting that I won't use it. It's so convenient. And my nephew and nieces who have celiac were so excited to have treats they could eat at our family Christmas party.

By far the best gluten free flour I have used. The texture is not grainy or gritty. I am able to make all my old recipes with just substituting this flour for regular wheat flour. Makes good bread, and biscuits too! This is my go to flour product for our gluten free household!

I've tried several different types of gluten free flour and have found that King Arthur, Measure for Measure Flour is the best choice for me. I was hesitant to try it because it costs more than some other brands of gluten free flour, but it is worth the price. I've made cupcakes, cobblers, sauces, and fried foods with it and it is the closest to traditional flour that I have tried. My family even says they can't tell the difference.

This flour is so versatile and produces consistently great bakes. However, I will likely only buy it at grocery stores in the future as each package lately has arrived with the “Best By” date either very nearly expired or rubbed off so that it can no longer be seen. I’m not saying the expiry date was intentionally removed, but considering the higher price of GF flours, I need to know for sure if what I am buying will be fresh.

My favorite gluten free flour

I use this for cooking and baking because it's the one I've found to most closely spot regular wheat flour. Unlike many other gluten free flours, there's no weird aftertaste or texture with the items I've baked/cooked with this.

I've also used this to make gluten free sourdough with great success.
