We absolutely loooove King Arthur's All Purpose flour. It's funny we might think flour is just flour...but Oh no! Not every flour brand delivers on quality, taste, texture, etc. Over the years my husband tried many different brands of flour for his, Authentic Deep Fried Jamaican Fried Chicken. Just yummy and delicious! He has given King Arthur's All Purpose Flour a A++. The texture is not too sticky, when used to make dumplins it is firm, and delicious. It also doesn't leave any heavy excess fired dough batter when used to batter any fried delight. My husband also uses it for baking all of his many different types of cakes from, Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Lemon Cake, Jamaican Rum Cake, etc. Lol...yes the man is also an excellent baker. No, I'm not the baker, but I'm the chef! He always choses, and gives lavish reviews on how moist, and fluffy, King Auther's All Purpose Flour makes his cakes. Which explains why they never last! Please see images! If you care about the quality and taste of what you serve, or just want to a bang for your buck, this is the one. I purchased the 10lbs bag, came as described, bag was also placed in a clear plastic bag. I didn't get too much loose dust, thank God. Look no further very highly recommended as a must have in any pantry/kitchen! Enjoy! Hope that helps!
Ordered 25 lbs of flour, thinking I'd get a 25 lb bag. Instead it was several 2 lb bags. Still wonderful flour to work with, just had to open more bags than I cared to. But, I will do it! I'm flexible! Thank you for the hasty delivery!
As a long time baker, and experimental cooking warrior, I like to try all sorts of products until I find my holy grail of ingredients. Taste of course is number one, but also consistency, quality, ingredients (content and sourcing), health value (vitamin/mineral, soil quality, seed source, nutritional impact, natural or organic content, environment, handling, storage, transport) value, price, availability, country of origin, corporate structure…the list can become so extensive it’s easy to forget what the product is intended to do. This flour is not only consistently reliable and fresh, it’s taste in baked goods, fried, sautéed, roasted or any item that calls for all purpose flour, is the best of any I have used over the years. I only recently, in the past 3 years, discovered the brand and while pennies more than the leading brands, I find it much better tasting, and the texture and consistency of my food is much more predictable and presentable. I use it whenever white flour or wheat flour is called out, as it has a very light tan color that does not darken my white cakes (not as dark as wheat, but not stark white. It has a less processed taste and appearance without the change in color and flavor that whole wheat flour can have. This brand has become my go to for ingredients when I am baking for friends and family and want the highest quality while still being a good value in this horrible economy (recession). Hopefully this remains available and not beyond my budget which is ever squeezed so thin lately.
My wife has recently started baking bread. She had me buy this particular flour and there is rarely anything closer to what heaven must be like than when she gives me a piece of still warm bread with butter on it! She is very happy with this product, which means I am very happy with it also.
king arthur flours have been my go-to for more than two decades now. wasn't at all surprised to read a few years ago that chefs worldwide say it's what they use when in america. it's gmo-free, no bromates, and the company is employee owned! although I do bake the occasional pastry and it's great for cakes, pies, cobblers, what have you, I mostly make bread.
the all-purpose flour is my favorite for flatbread (which I eat almost daily) and pizza. the bread flour (in the blue bag) is better for naan. the whole wheat and the white whole wheat and the self-rising are also fantastic (and always on hand). when it's on sale I buy at least a hundred pounds and keep it in the freezer. most of my meals are "fast food." hummus, babaganoush, zaatar, etc., and all of them are scooped with bread. I keep a running bowl of dough in the fridge, made with king arthur flour, flax, chia, and pink salt. this bread is also great as the bun for my garbanzo-oat-veg burgers. bowls of rice, beans, salsa, and avocado are delicious eaten with corn/flour tortillas made with this flour and organic masa. this flour really is all-purpose!
knock on wood, I've never seen a recall for king arthur flours. the "purity" of these flours seems standard, but the most important thing when it comes to breads is taste and texture. other flours simply do not compare. I've tried several "artisan" and organic brands but always come back to king arthur...usually mixing those flours with king arthur after trying them on their own and finding them lacking (I'd never throw them away, and they were far more palatable as the 1 in a 4:1 ratio with the king arthur).
if you love to bake or want to eat more healthily and cheaply (it takes fewer than five minutes to make a bowl of dough that will last several days, fewer than five minutes to grab a ball from the bowl and roll out one piece, then five minutes to bake in a toaster oven), I cannot recommend this flour highly enough. and though I've always known the company is employee owned, these many years later it still thrills me no end. their products are superlative! long may they prosper...

I am an avid baker, King Arthur is by far my favorite all purpose flour. Makes perfect breads, cakes pie crust, you name it. Everyone has there own favorite for different reasons, but the quality, freshness and versatility of this one made me an instant convert. From a basic bechamel to fried chicken and biscuits you can’t go wrong.
