I am not able to do much due to a chronic illness, this has been a great way to spend long stretches of time. By the way, I still have that silly little pencil ✏️ and Fireball whiskey 🥃 mug . They were given to me by a kindergartner on the last day of school 🏫 with a great big smile 😊 and the tightest hug 🤗 you have had in your life.

Candy Crush Saga is a fun and entertaining game. I have waited a long time for Amazon to provide a version for the Kindle Fire and am very pleased to finally get it! You do not need access to wi-fi to play this game on your kindle fire but let me say tho that if you play via facebook also, you must have access to wi-fi and log in to facebook from your kindle for the game on your kindle to update to the level you are on via facebook. That doesn't mean you can't play this game if you don't have facebook, it just means if you do and you want to be on the same level you are on when you played on facebook you must log in to facebook for it to sync to the same level. Once you have synced levels you do not need to log in to facebook to play on your device unless you leveled up while playing on facebook and your device does not show that you did. Otherwise you will start at level one on your device whether you play it on facebook or not. For those that get upset on facebook because they want to know what happens to all the 'lives' they were gifted from friends, they will show up in your gift box on your kindle or other device (at least on my iphone they do). They can be used as long as you don't accept them until you need them. In other words if you run out of live's, while on your kindle or iphone, open your gift box on the home page of the game and accept only 5 of the gifted live's at a time. (5 is how many live's you are given per game so accepting more from your gift box will cause you to loose them.)
For those that have not played Candy Crush Saga, The game show's up on the screen with varying shaped designs, obstacles and deterrents, in and around them are rows of candies.. orange, blue, green, red (look like jelly beans hence..the candies) on top of square jellies. There are several different challenges but for the most part you are given a certain number of moves, (which vary per level) the general object is to match 3 or more of the same color candies to make them move or disappear, breaking up the jellies beneath them. Each move will break up the square jellies if there are any still remaining under the ones you have moved, eventually resulting in clearing the board of jellies.
Some levels you will be required to clear all the jellies, as well as acquire a certain number of points to be able to move on to the next level. Some are harder than others to achieve both but it can be done!
Matching 4 candies will take away 3 but leave you with 1 of the same color that now has stripes (called a 'special' candy) and when matched with 2 or more of that same color will blow out a line of candy, sometimes causing a string of candies to move, taking with it other candies and jellies, which will change the arrangement of candies, sometimes for your benefit, sometimes not! Sometimes another 'special' candy shows up that is a 'wrapped' candy, matching it up with 2 or more of the same color causes it to blow up the candies around it and then it drops down and blows the candy's around it again, somewhat creating a change in the arrangement of the candies on the board.
Matching 5 or more of the same color will get you a multi-colored ball of candy that can help clear out the board if played right. Using the multi-colored ball of candy can be used with 1 of any color candy you wish (as long as it is next to it), creating all of that color candy to become blown off the screen. Combining the multi-colored candy with a 'special' candy will create a different kind of explosion! Learning what each candy can do makes the game work for you, and of course some computer luck will hopefully come along for you too! There are many different challenging levels as you go higher and other objects are added to the challenge to complete the level's.
This game is challenging as you get to higher levels, and aggravating sometimes too! Mainly aggravating because certain levels seem near impossible to complete the challenge! The levels can be cleared tho, it takes time. I have never spent money on this game to clear levels. I refuse to play a game that you need to spend your hard earned money on, so if that were to happen I would be done but so far I have had no problem.
Sometimes it's just a matter of waiting for the right time (a little luck!) to come along and you complete the level and can move on. Right now I am stuck on level 133 and have been for a few months. This is the first level that has taken me this long, most are cleared in decent time but some are harder to figure out and hence take longer. It is a great time consuming and addicting game. Even if you get frustrated with a level, leave it for a while then come back and chance's are you will complete it soon. My grandchildren love to play this also, (ages 5 & 3) they do pretty well at it. They may not comprehend the object completely but it's exciting for them to 'blow some candies up' and yell "got one gma!" so it is fun for all ages. In my opinion for the younger children it helps with hand-eye coordination too! It's a great, colorful, addicting game for all! I'm sure I left out many details but for the most part this is a general description of the game! Hope it helps!

I generally enjoy this game. It is essentially a quirky game similar to bejeweled where you match up different colored types of candy into rows of various sizes to clear maps of different sizes and configurations. Some are timed, others have unique obstacles and others have a limited amount of moves. It is entertaining and relaxing in that you have to think about the moves you are going to make and consider how it might effect the board, but it can be frustrating at times because the candy is always set randomly so there is a truly random chance of passing a level each time.

I took one star off, however, for two reasons:

First, the music. I suppose it is supposed to kind of sound like a carnival or something a little bit, but what it mostly sounds like to me is a badly out of tune piano being banged on by a circus chimp. It is always slightly off key, repetitive and plays in an infinite loop until it kind of stutters then starts over from the top. Normally I just turn it off and play my own music which is the exact opposite of Bejeweled (which this game obviously is patterned after) where the music is bewitching and truly relaxing. Like I said, probably a style choice to be kind of carnival sounding, but I would leave any carnival that kept playing that ridiculous gonging.

Second, gated content. This game is free and that always means that you can except some level of trickery/deceit/slash annoying hurdle to slow you down and annoy you. We all know it and accept it, but it is one of the things I detest the most about "free" games. To start with, this game randomly distributes things onto the board and this dramatically effects your chances of clearing any given level. In addition, you only get so many "lives" and recharges of those are on a timer so if you expend them too quickly you may have to wait 30 minutes to get another. That is, unless you are willing to buy one for real money OR go to Facebook and begin trolling your friends to give you one like a beggar in a Charles Dickens novel. Personally I just use that time to move on to something more productive, but that's not the end of the designer's circle of frustration. As you clear levels you encounter a mini-story which is a nonsensical tale about various candy based creatures wanting you to give them candy (wouldn't that make them cannibals?) to traverse to a new area of levels. So pretty much an endless treadmill path of levels, but at various points it stops you and requires you to pass "special bonus levels" in order to travel to the next area. And once again you have one of three options; play and pass the levels, pay real money for your "free" game or broadcast to all your Facebook buddies that you play this game and beg them to stop their lives and help you pass a level. If you opt for the "play and pass the level" option though you can only pass one level every 24 hours locking you into a minimum 72 hour tollgate which could be longer if you keep getting a poor random draw of candies that stop you from being able to pass one for awhile.

To be honest, the first time I ran into this gated situation I almost just deleted the whole thing because I think the whole system is a joke and I don't like encouraging them to keep doing it rather than just charging me $5 or whatever up front and letting me go, but I stuck it out, passed the levels, waited the time etc, but they just keep popping up every 10 levels or so and its annoying. I would also warn you that if your child is going to play this game I would suggest that you make certain they can't buy anything without your permission or you just may find that they have bought $20 worth of "candy" trying to get through this thing.

Bottom line its a good game and I do enjoy it, but the music is baffling/disturbing and the intentionally gated content and incessant attempts to strong-arm you into spending real money like a sailor on shore leave in Bangkok is nearly intolerable. This game is good enough to pay $5 or $10 for, but the devious ploy to drain unlimited money out of the players with shameful tactics is bad enough to make me consider deleting it at least once a week. My 2 cents is don't pay them a nickel for anything and consider it a challenge to just roll with whatever obstacle they toss in your way.

Amazingly addictive and much harder than it looks! This game is beatifully designed, with rich colours and many challenging levels. Free boosts every now and then would be nice, but the game itself is brilliant. Thank you King for bringing it to Kindle at last!

Este es el mejor juego al que he jugado en mucho tiempo. Concepto simple pero niveles que se complican muchísimo a medida que avanzas. Muy recomendable para entretenerse un rato, pero cuidado que engancha!
