Sometimes a book captures your imagination. This on captured my heart. I would gladly have paid for this book if I were no a member of this reading club. One of the best books I have ever read and now is one of my favorites. I would love to live at Coalmans Hill!
It's a book about Clayton Graves, a man who practices what he has learned as a Christian. He is not a rich man as far as personal possessions go, but we learn that he is a man with many riches waiting for him in heaven. He lives in an old mine cabin which has a bunkhouse attached. With him lives the last of his family, his grand-daughter, Elizabeth. Lost travelers, friends, people who have lost their homes to natural disasters, etc. are all welcome for as long as they want or need to stay. We meet the many people who enjoy his hospitality and follow along with the bumps in the roads Clayton has traveled.
The characters are so clear you feel you have met them all, and you become involved in their lives. Through all that he encounters, Clayton maintains his faith. The book was riveting. I hated to put it down. This was definitely an inspirational book. We should all strive to be like Clayton.
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.
