I bought this from a local chain store, and it seemed to work ok. It was a little wobbly for me, but I was also doing homebrew with this unit. It seemed to wobble when I had two 10 gallon pots on it. But it wasn't so bad that I didn't use it still. Then when I turned up the heat, the flame would hit the bottom of my pot (which is ok) and travel to the edge. The flame got the frame, which appears to be hot rolled bar, and it got red hot. It started to sag in the middle and turn into a V shape from the weight and heat. I just don't think it was designed with heavy duty enough materials for a large pot application, such as chili for a large group, or stews for large groups. It would probably work ok for small and light camping, but I also thought the BG10 burners on it were too hot to work on my two burner skillet from Campchef. It got hot spots and did not seem to distribute the heat as well as other cookers I have used. I took this one back after it started to fold in the middle and got a different brand.

The brass nozzles which feed gas from the manifold to the individual burners snap incredibly easily. The manufacturer will not supply the individual nozzles as replacements, and I have found them impossible to find elsewhere. If the nozzles were sturdier, I think the product would be much more robust. Also, it would be very nice of the company to agree to sell the individual nozzles as replacements, as it would be an easy fix to replace them when broken. As it stands, one must purchase and entirely new gas manifold from the company to replace a single broken nozzle.

I was excited about this stove, I have been rebuilding My BBQ trailer and this was to replace an old home made stove. I got it in on Friday and immediately began to assemble it. I found the the center burner was the wrong height and I could not install the gas header as it was manufactured. Reluctantly I took a grinder to my brand new stove and cut out about a 1/4" or more of material so that the burner would level out. I got that all lind out and was looking the rest of the pieces over and found that one baffle plate had been damaged before it was painted. I can fix it with one or two strikes of the hammer, But this is my new stove.

OK now to the good Points. The Stove just looks Good, it looks good on the cooker trailer as well. The burners function beautifully. After reading some of the reviews on this site I was slightly worried that I was going to have a Turkey fryer with no heat control, not true. These are high pressure burners. (5 lb pressure, Your house only has about 5 oz of pressure). This had a Turkey frying pot hot in just a few minutes and would have had it boiling in about ten I think if I had let it kept going. This is perfect for making beans etc.

Bottom line is I think I will have many years of good service out of this stove, I just hated to take a grinder and a hammer to it before I could even cook on it.

When I got it in the mail one of the orifices was snapped off. Another snapped while trying to put it together. This is the only real downfall I see with the product. I contacted the manufacturer and faxed them a copy of the invoice and they are shipping a whole new manifold for the burner. The valves/ orifices are pretty cheap and they need to go up a size or two to keep them from snapping off. Be extremely careful while putting it together and you should be ok. If your not mechanically inclined you may want to solicit help in putting the manifold on.

The frame itself is decently built. Legs are snap on and because I bought the three burner mine is longer and more stable. The feet on the legs will need to be level and weights put on them to make sure it is solidly sturdy. This is with any fryer or burner where you are putting a lot of weight on the frame or stand. The legs snapped on fast and I put it together in about five minutes. There are a 11 bolt, washer, nut combos that will need to be put on it to hold the burners steady and the manifold in place. The hose has a pressure fitting to connect to the manifold so it makes it easier to ensure no leaks in the line. I put it together without the instructions however the instructions are pretty clear on how to put it together. The wind shield just slides in and is easy to take off and put back on making it easier to use large pots. Common sense would tell you to use one of the end burners for larger canners and fryers as to not put more stress on the center than you need to. Not that you have to do this but why put stress on a framework instead of using the end which would be directly over the legs and more solid.

This 3 burner outfit from King Kooker is the cat's pajamas! The BTU output is simply astounding. You can almost feel the proper tank lightening as you crank this sucker up. So, really there is NO need to crank it up. It does perfectly well on mid heat. It's built like a Mac Truck on legs. Solid, durable, no frills. The thermometers seem like a useless accessory. Note the MUCH assembly is required. I only say that because if you haul this out into the woods in the same box, you'll have little chance of putting it together with your trusty leatherman. You need real crescent wrenches to do this thing justice. The instructions are terrible for an American made product and the 'tech support' is snarly and surly (Note to King Kooker - it's not OUR fault your instructions suck through a straw!). The product gets a 5. The assembly and instructions get a 2, and Tech Support gets a 1.
