Many complaints about large stockpots have to do with the quality of the handles. I have lifted this pot over 75 times with 12+ pounds of grain and 5.5 gallons of water in it and the handles remain solid as a rock. The metal is a bit thin but I have never scorched wort on the bottom and it cleans up great with a scothbrite pad. The only complaint I have is that when brewing a 5.5 gallon batch of beer, one must start with a pre-boil volume of about 6.5 gallons. This volume of wort is dangerously close to the top of the kettle and boilovers are a problem. This isn't really the fault of the kettle though, just be careful as you approach boiling temps and lower the heat as necessary. This is a great kettle for the money.
Main concern is that a dent will become a hole, it's that thin
I returned the first one that was delivered because the pot was so badly dented, the second one was much better. Packaging is sub standard

This is a great cooker. The only thing I have had to learn to use is the regulator that turns off and must be pushed to continue.Published 18 months ago by J. Samuel Hobson Jr.
Works great as a turkey fryer but has so many other uses. Cooking crabs, making low country boils, or even just boiling corn on the cob for a large outdoor gathering.Published 22 months ago by doodles
everything was great except the pan like many of the other reviews stated had a couple dents in it. I used it anyway since a couple dents on a pan being used outside was not that... Read morePublished on January 18, 2014 by erin zabel
The king Kooker was simple to set up and everything you need is included. Our first Thanksgiving frying a turkey was a success and it will now be an annual tradition.Published on December 9, 2013 by Sincitymommy
